Grand Gathering Meal Experiences?

Hi everyone! I'm heading out with the kids, folks, and in-laws this spring- we are excited (or I am excited, since they don't plan!) to be able to do some GG experiences...
I currently have the following booked and would love to hear some opinions from people that have done these- thanks!!

Grand Gathering Safari dinner
Grand Gathering Illuminations dinner
Grand Gathering Character Breakfast at Tony's

We will be on the DxDDP and will be using credits for these meals- thank you!!

Hi There,
I just did the Grand gathering Safari Celebration dinner about 3 weeks ago. We loved it and the kids had a ball. The only ones who didn't love it were 2 of the DH's because they just like to complain . If you want to read more about it I posted it in my trip report. Link to October 2008 below. We also did the Magical FW Cruise and that was awesome!

We did the Illuminations dinner in Epcot this past April. It was held in the Odessey in Future World. Auntie Roz and her sidekick the DJ were funny and went around to each of the tables to see if anyone was celebrating anything.

The meal was a buffett and there was a lot of variety. Picky eaters will find something to eat. I can't remember the menu now but everyone in our party enjoyed the food.

They gathered the little ones for a cute little story which Auntie Rox narrated and the kids acted in and made different sounds. cute. Then Minnie and goofy came out. (I can't remember if another character came out) but they danced with the kids for a few songs and did a conga line. This part was exciting and fun for the kids.

The highlight was the dessert buffet at the head of World showcase. You had to wear the provided GG pin and were escorted to the area by a CM. It was a lovely buffet with lots of yummy dessert and coffee. It was crowded though. So get out early and get a good spot near the fence.
