I have a feeling we will see DVC at all deluxes. What is left? GF and Poly? I don't think you can really count Yacht since it is a sister of Beach.

But as I have said recently in another thread, after staying in a lodge building for 2 weeks during TS Fay I will not stay in another resort where there is not a covered walkway to a resturant and store.

Well that rules out the Poly... That's one of the things I don't get about it.... It's a deluxe hotel with "exterior" access for all purposes! LOL!

And it might rule out GF. The outbuildings are not connected to the main building by covered walkway.

He knows it's my fave Disney resort and he knows I've been waiting on it to go DVC and he knows that I'm a stuffy victorian grandma in disguise and he also knows mama won't rest until she has points there.

A DVC at the GF is kind of surprising to me. This is WDW's flagship resort - it is the most expensive resort (starting at about $400/night up to $700 or more per night). I don't think Disney would make as much w/ DVC as they would renting those rooms.

I think that is great news!! It wasn't that long ago that someone reported that all deluxe resorts would have DVC as well. And now we have AKV and BLT. So it makes sense that if DVC keeps selling well that we will see it at Poly, GF and YC (is there room at YC?). I hope it happens!

We would love to have Poly and would like GF but I would buy either if they come online. I spoke with a friend on our honeymoon while we were at the poly a couple years ago he mention GF Villas also.

Well could be, but give me the Poly and mmmm that's the life for me.
Having spend our first 2 vacation's prior to joining looking at GF and rather be sitting where I was. Using pts. to do a break away vacation when we joined. As the initial BLT makes you wanna do it, after thinking it through and with five contracts behind us, were good. If and when they build at the poly, well then I will always consider that home, so it would be a must have, must do.
Though I may add instead of building, building and getting bigger, DVC may want to concentrate on taking care of what they sell.

That's a rumor we would love to be true. The GF is the only resort that would make me buy a huge add on. (We've got AKV, we're currently in the middle of buying BWV resale, and we are considering eventually adding a small number of points at BLT simply because of the location and views.) If GFV became an option, we'd sell any BLT points we'd acquired and buy a large number of points at GFV. GFV would almost certainly push us over the 500 point mark. It is my favorite resort, and my love for it almost kept us from buying DVC since we hated to give it up. This is the resort I'm wishing for...

It's also often availalble when others are booked.
IMHO a lot of folks who normally pay that for rooms find the GF sadly lacking. I think Disney KNOWS they are going to lose that top tier guest to Four Seasons! You probably are going to get the Disney benefits, better or lower price and much better overall service/quality at the Four Seasons!

Just got back from a 2 week stay at GF and my mom works there. No they have not started anything there and there is not rumors from the cast members. Interestingly enough, my mom worked at the Contemporary before they started building a DVC there so I knew about that one a long time before some people did. I will keep my ears open on this one as well.

Hmmmm... although a GF DVC sounds nice to maybe stay at, we wouldn't buy there. DH thinks that the GF is too formal and stuffy looking. We're currently saving to add on at our home resort - AKV.

NOW - if they announced a Poly DVC - we'd be ALL OVER THAT! Since there's a chance they could, but in the far future, we'll probably have the money for that by then, so it looks like a plan!

(ahhh - my DVC dreams come true - points at AKV and at the Poly! How awesome would that be!!)
