What are the showers like here? The one and only other time I've been to a spa was in Las Vegas and they had the most WONDERFUL showers! They had about 10 individual stalls and each had their own aromatherapy "flavor" with shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner having that scent. One was mango, one peppermint, one lavendar, etc. I LOVED this and actually enjoyed the shower experience as much as the treatments! Does the GF have anything like this? For those of you who go, do you normally shower in your room or wait and shower at the spa? How much do you tip? Do you take cash or tip them using your room key? (I'm staying at CBR.)

I've heard great things about the spa at SSR, but my husband and DD will be at the MK during my treatments and I want to be able to hop on over there and meet them when I'm finished.

Any thoughts? BTW, I'm getting the parrafin body wrap, the head/neck/shoulder massage, and the aromatherapy facial. I can't wait! :Pinkbounc

They are nothing to write home about. There are two showers, and they have shampoo and body wash (grapefruit scented) mounted to the wall.

I shower before I go, but I generally book and appointment first thing in teh morning, so I'm coming freshly showered. If I was coming from a theme park I'd shower before my treatment began.

I tip 20%. I add it on to the bottom of the bill which goes on my credit card.

I haven't had the parafin body wrap. I've had massages there, they were nice, but I have another spa where I think they are much better. The facial is great, they use Jurlique products which are excellent.

I was at the GF spa this summer and the locker rooms are really small. I saw the showers but didn't use them. You could barely turn around in the room because it was very crowded. I had a facial and the Jurlique products are great. I've posted before about this, if you want a really great spa experience, try the Canyon Ranch Spa at the Gaylord Palms. As much as I love Disney, I have to advise that Canyon Ranch is much better than any of the spa offerings that Disney has and it costs about the same.
