Ok we are trying to plan a wedding/ honeymoon for Feb 07. I am trying to find rooms for the grand floridian for feb and can't find anything available. Anyone have any ideas or help on how to get a room there? Should i keep trying or not? Should i try to go thru a travel agent or thru disney? Is there anyone that could help. I didn't think we would have a problem finding a room at a 500 buck a night hotel in the middle of winter lol. Helppppp

I would book elsewhere (your second choice) and keep trying. That way you can at least have a room booked, but then you can still have a chance at GF

FYI: President's Day and the week surrounding it is one of the busiest weeks at Disney World and it books fast!!! Something tells me this may be the same week you are trying for.........?

yah it would be the week of the 19th . Are you serious - i don't want to go that week if it's gonna be real busy

I found this on allearsnet.com

Disney states:

The Lowest Attendance --

January (except New Year's Day) until just prior to Presidents' Week in February

The week following Labor Day until the week prior to Thanksgiving

The week following Thanksgiving until mid-December
More Moderate Attendance:
After Presidents' week in February through early March
Late April through early June (except Memorial Day weekend)
Columbus Day Weekend (October)
The first part of Thanksgiving week

Highest Attendance:
Presidents' week in February
Mid March through Late April ("Spring Break")
Memorial Day weekend
Mid June through Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day and weekend
Christmas week through New Year's Day

I was there in January one year, and it was practically empty, but just remember the less crowded it is , the more they shut down rides and shows for refurbishments and cost reasons.

Being British and therefore having no clue what sort of holidays the US has... when's Labor Day?

I only ask 'cos we'll be honeymooning from 24/7 to 2/8 and would prefer it a little quieter!

Wait! I meant 7/24 to 8/2 - I think. :confused3 Heh, you crazy Yanks with your switching days and months around..!

Labor Day is usually around the first weekend in September, so you should be ok! :thumbsup2

In 2007 it is Monday, September 3.
