Do you think that it is possible to have a pre reception, open bar, cake and dinner for 125 per person?? From what I keep seeing, just dinner is around 90+40 for the bar+20 for the reception+ more for the cake. I know that they serve a ton of food, but for 125 people coming at more than 125 a person is a lot I think. Any ideas??

It really depends on what you are serving and what ind of bar and cake.

You can break it down-

for a light ch (fuit, dip, crackers, veggies etc)
approx $20 pp

Open bar (package)
$35-40pp for 5 hours (you can also do billed on consumption....if you do not have heavy drinkers this will work in your favor)

Dinner (no lit sorbet and no white chocolate slipper dessert)
appetizer, salad, sorbet in martini glass, entree (not a duo plate if you just pick say entrees and have the guests select on their invites...duo plates get way more expensive)

approx $65 pp

Cake (for something not extravagent or custom)
$9 pp plus $1.75 cutting fee pp

So..... you are looking at $130 pp but again you can get this down by having boc if you think that would work for you good luck:goodvibes

good that makes me feel better! thanks for your help. I am pretty sure we are going to need an open bar with our families and friends, but I really don't want a bunch of drunk people at my wedding, but we do have some friends who can handle quite a bit of drinking while being fine. So in this situation Im just not sure how we will handle it. Thanks so much for the help!

hmmm how about beer and wine?

yeah that might be a good option. However my DB doesnt drink very often, but he HATES beer and isnt the biggest fan of wine, but i dont think he will even drink at our reception so that would be good. Thanks so much!
