I am planning a trip for Next December as well as this December and had a few questions for you Grand Floridians. On the Disney site I was quoted 16,000 for two weeks at the Grand Floridian Concierge with Plantinum Add-on (Formerly known as, Grand Plan) Does that sound right???? I heard someone say they got an excellent deal for next December. I hope it is better than the price I was quoted!

Thanks

AE

We know a couple who did the Grand Plan a few years ago for one week and I think it was $6000.00.

Tom...

My DW and I did the Grand Plan in May at WL for about what ShannonandTom's friends did.

Keep in mind that with the Platinum Plan you are paying upfront for all meals (3 a day) plus a snack each day, plus access to all shows, dinner shows, etc. Also, you are staying for 2 weeks at Disney's premiere resort. The Plan's price is based a lot on the resort chosen plus the number of days.

The Grand/Platinum Plan is also priced at rack rate without discounts (or so I was told). So the price you were quoted was Disney's price and sounds about right for 2 weeks at GF.

That is about right for the plan you chose.... unfortunately, there aren't discounts on the Grand/Platinum Plan, and I don't believe you can apply room discts either, as it's all priced together.

wow! spending the Holidays at the GF, what a fantastic vacation! :)

I sent you a PM!

Laura :)

There are disney club discounts for both room and package. For 2003 it is $125 off the pkg and 15% off room for value season and 10% off for regular and peak.

Was the quoted rate for main building concierge or outer building concierge? If it's outer building concierge, my opinion is that you would be much happier in a lagoon view. (request MK view) Lagoon view is less than the outer building concierge and the same size plus a better view. You would save money by not choosing the Grand Plan. However, the convenience of the Grand Plan may be worth it to you.
