ignoring the cost difference between the two, any opinions about whether the Grand Floridian or the Beach Club is best for us?

We will be there in the beg. of May and it will be 2 adults and 1 toddler (19 month old).

thanks!

Personally, we love the Epcot resort area. There's just so much non park things to do. It's great to be able to put a little one in a stroller and walk around the boardwalk.

It depends. If you plan to spend more time at the Magic Kingdom, then I would choose the Grand Floridian. Also all of their rooms have just finished being completely rehabbed.

If you plan to spend more time at Epcot or the Studios then Beach Club is more convenient.

With a toddler, you will most likely spend alot of time at the MK, so I think the Grand Floridian is best for you since it's on the monorail & just a short ride away...

I love both the GF and the YC/BC. With a toddler I would choose GF just for the monorail to MK convenience.

While I like the beach club better than GF....

I would choose GF for you with a toddler....Walking right on the monorail
with your toddler in the stroller is priceless....

I agree with the others who said the Grand Floridian because of the toddler because of the Monorail and how close it is to the Magic Kingdom. However only the OP knows what is best for them. If they planned to spend more time at Epcot and Hollywood Studios, the Beach Club might be better for them.

If you choose the Beach Club, beware of your toddler and the railing outside of your room on the balcony. We stayed at the BC last December--exact room escapes me at the moment--but upon check in, we had the sliding door to the balcony open taking in the view of stormalong bay when my wife yelled for me to get my then 20 month old daughter. She had fit between the rail and the building, and was on the roof walking along. Luckily, I was able to grab her and get her back into the room. This is not a knock on the BC, but it is something to watch out for.

We returned recently from a split stay at BC & GF.

I have to agree, with a toddler the GF is the place to be. The pool area at the Beach Club is wonderful --- but not someplace I would want to be chasing a toddler. Our youngest is 4 and it was a bit difficult at times with her at the BC pool. Also the monorail is so much easier than the buses or boats with a stroller. Wait and stay at the BC when they are older. Our older children loved it!

Have a great trip
