hello all,

I just booked our next trip to celebrate our anniversary and my daughters birthdays at GF RPC! I would like to request a room on the 4th floor because that is the floor with the food. I wanted to know if anyone had any other suggestions for the type or location of the room I request. It will be my DH and my DD's ages 1 and 3.

Also, are room requests usually granted or are they frowned upon?

Are you paying for a theme park view as well or just a standard room? I would request 4th floor definitely, even though going up and down the stairs isn't too bad but would be tricky with little ones. There are views facing the front of the building, pool views, lagoon/marina views?

yOu might want to ask for close to the lounge?

We had room 4320 our last stay at GF ... its an extra large corner room facing the main pool ... we loved it.

The pictures you posted are amazing! That's a regular room in the main building?!

We didn't ask for anything special and thats what we ended up with ... it's bigger than most of the standard rooms. We've ask for specific rooms in the past and they always try to accomodate. It certainly doesnt hurt to ask. Last year at WL, we asked for a specific room and they couldn't accomodate us so they offered us the Jr suite instead ... it was awesome.

I think you made a great resort choice......GF RPC is amazing :cloud9:. We were on the 3rd floor and it really wasn't that far to get to the lounge, but if being close to the lounge is important to you, I'd make that request. Requests are not frowned upon, but are just requests and are not guaranteed. With that said, Disney will do everything they can to accommodate you :goodvibes.

Room 4320 is a queen deluxe room not a standard so an upgrade. We have stayed in this room several times and it is very nice, about 650 square feet. As this is a bookable category it most likely would not be honored as a request. You could try to upgrade or ask when arriving.

Room requests are fine and you should be able to get 4th floor with no problem.

stevesgirl Congrats of booking RPC...:goodvibes I dont think that requesting a room is frownded upon..but I think that you might be better off with some general requests...

If what you are looking for is a room on the same floor and close to the lounge...then thats what you should request..4th floor..close to lounge...

Rooms in the "standard" category...meaning not TPV or deluxe...(and definately not standard IMO as the GF is so lovely..) can overlook the courtyard area...a very pretty view..or the beach pool area..looking towards the Poly ..those rooms are further from the lounge...

The room numbers of the rooms just off the lounge..with a courtyard view are 4417 to room 4413...13 being furthest down that hall...

HTH...and Happy Planning! :flower3:
