I have never been for breakfast, but have been a couple times for dinner now. I am a huge fan of the french onion soup and the cream of mushroom soup (not always offered) as an appetizer and then the Grand Floridian Burger for my main. I dream about that burger. It's amazing.

All of the deluxe resorts have both headliner (usually signature but not always) and what I call "second tier" restaurants. I think that Disney made sure that people who stay at deluxe resorts can always have a casual sit down meal at their resort even without reservations months in advance (holidays being the potential exception). These restaurants tend to be nothing special in terms of atmosphere or theming (with some exceptions) but the food is pretty good to very good (some are hidden gems in fact). the wave at CR, GF Cafe, Kona Cafe at the poly, Boma at AKL, WCC at WL and Captain's Grille at YC/BC are all pretty well rated places just less frequented.

It's one of my favourite places and a real hidden gem! We actually went there for our anniversary a few years ago. It's not somewhere people would usually choose for an anniversary, and because of that, they treated us like total royalty! Nothing was too much trouble and we had an amazing time.
Every meal we've ever had there has been superb.
