Hiya Guys

Were thinking of trying all different restaurants this year during our August trip and Grand Floridian Cafe is one of them.

However, I've looked at a few reviews and they all vary so much.

From wonderful to absolutely shocking.

One comment I remember reading was "its just like any basic lobby restaurant in any Hotel and not very disney at all"....

So over to you guys, any opinions good or bad would be apprecaited.

Many thanks

We have never had a bad meal there and always found it to be a little quieter than many of the other sit down places, it's usually where we eat on our last night before we see Wishes!

We love the Grand Floridian cafe, so pretty and fairly quiet. Never done dinner there but had lunch twice Andover it both times :thumbsup2

I LOVE the grand Floridian cafe!

We actually had our wedding meal here as we liked the food so much, it's just so pretty!

I have never gotten something that I didn't enjoy here a lot, plus everybody in our 15 strong party had a starter main and dessert and everybody raved about the food, so it can't be bad :)

Hey thank you for the replies:)

Wayne, it was reading your TR last year that put GFCafe on my list for this year.

Just another further question we are a family of 6 and although, even though if I say so myself we have great kids, they are kids on holiday at the end of the day hence the reason we enjoy Florida soooo much as the majority of people are there also to simply have fun !!!

In your opinion are children welcome in this restaurant, is it very quiet?

We have eaten at The Yachtsmen before and Jiko and have never felt uncomfortable there?

If were staying on Disney we always eat here, it's always top of our list. Plus they have my favorite onion soup.

Children are very welcome as in any Disney restaurant (except V&A)

Children are welcome there and we eat there for dinner every time , never had a bad meal and I have heard people say it is Disney's best kept secret!!!!! Hope you enjoy it as much as we do:)

We have eaten both lunch and breakfast here. Both were very good. It's a great option for breakfast if you don't want a buffet. It is quiet in a relative Disney sense not quiet like a fine dining restaurant. I always see plenty of kids of all ages there. While maybe the decor is not over the top Disney, you have a pleasant view of the GF grounds and pool.

We take our 3 boys who are aged 7,7, 10 and have done every yr since they was 1, and twin 3 yr olds can be noisy lol

We have never had a problem here with the kids it's still Disney at the end of the day and i didn't feel like I shouldn't have taken them to that restaurant x
