I was just wondering if anyone had any reviews on the grand flordian cafe we have never eaten there however on our trip september the night of the MNSSHP i wanted to eat at LTT but they were booked along with Crystal palace so i was thinking maybe something close and thought we could hop on the monorail and grab supper there but never been there just wondering if anyone had any thoughts
Thanks in advance

We ate there in Feb for dinner and loved it. Very nice, kind of quiet. Pleasant servers and good food. I recommend it.

We have always enjoyed our meal there. Like the other said, quiet, nice, fairly good food. I would recommend it.

we ate there twice last trip - very nice, started with crabcakes - DH had steak and shrimp, for me prime rib - had the mini desserts (sampled all 4 of them) - lovely room, very pretty, relaxing - we'd go back!

It was totally not on our radar screen. We had cancelled dinner a couple days before and wanted to use up our DDP points, so we called to se who had an opening on short notice within the vicinity of MK becasue we had the DDP that night. There was an opening and we took it! And I am glad we did! The food was Fantastic! The best steak we had all week! The restaurant wa very airy and bright - lots of fresh cut flowers and the servers were great too! I was worried that it would be too stuffy for my small kids, I was pleasantly surprised! We will be sure to go back next time at WDW... :wizard:

We ate there once before. It was solid average food. What makes it somewhat more enjoyable is the nice dining room and atmosphere at the Grand Floridian.

thanks for the help!! I was starting to worry that i had made the wrong choice beccause we'll have two boys dressed up for the MNSSHP so i hope that's okay.

I am sure it is! I hope so anyway, because I had 2 pirates with us last week and a Pirate in Training! It wasn't too stuffy nor did we receive weird looks! Its Disney for pete sake, if people don't like it - they should vacation somewhere else!?? :confused3 ;)

Good to know! We were thinking of this spot to check out the GF with our extended family plus 2 small boys (one of which is rather rambunctious).

We have eaten at GFC several times and always enjoyed our meals. It is one of those overlooked places that you do not read much about. We will be eating there again in October before Mickey's Halloween Party.

Hate to be the lone naysayer, but we ate there Dec. of 2006, some of our entrees were good, some were truly bad. (I should have taken our servers suggestion.)
Our server was pleasant but incredibly slow. Perhaps due to our being on DDP. :confused3
We wont be making ADRS there again.

Another naysayer here....we at there Dec 2007 and did not enjoy our meal at all. Service was extremely slow and the food was not good. When we first walked in we felt a little out of place in our super casual clothes but other people started coming in dressed the same as us so that ended up being ok. Won't be going back...1900 Park Fare is much better.

We had lunch there, we enjoyed our meal so much that we returned a few days later. We all had sandwiches and all were great. Service was very good as we got there at opening. I liked the relaxed atmosphere and that the room was large and bright. I'd reccommend it.

hmmmmmmmmm....... I have been to WDW alot...and I am clueless as to where this is..........please, help me out?:rotfl2:

I think we can all agree to disagree. I think no matter where or when you eat, someone is bound to have a not-so-spectacular meal or possibly poor service. That could be the way at one of the highest rated restaurants, not just one of the not so popular. Everyone is different as are their tatests and expectations. Lets go with that.. :confused3 :thumbsup2

We have eaten breakfast there and enjoyed it very much. The chef was accomodating to our requests and the garden view from the dining room was beautiful.

It's in the Grand Floridian Hotel. We were able to walk up without a reservation, so I would guess it's not a dining hotspot.

We've been there several times and really enjoyed it. Our first night dinner in July is there also. The fish of the day is what I usually get and it's always wonderful. In fact, the last time I got it the waiter saw the totally clean plate and said he was sorry I didn't enjoy my dinner...;)
