Oct 19th: MK Day -Kona Breakfast, Lunch BOG FP hopefully, then either Liberty Tree or Grand Floridian Cafe?!

TIA :cutie:

For me (having been to both), I feel that the LTT is more of a dinner restaurant and the GF Café definitely more of a breakfast/lunch restaurant. However, it is absolutely personal choice:flower3:

I've eaten at GF Cafe for lunch but not dinner. Everyone really enjoyed their food & the atmosphere. We're also been to LTT for lunch. We enjoyed the food there too. I would probably pick GF Cafe. You'd be able to tour the resort after eating, plus there are some nice shops there.

I haven't eaten in LTT however I really do love GFC. It's lovely to grab a drink and sit listening to the band each evening too :)

They're definitely two very different experiences, but we've always enjoyed meals at the GF café. It's usually a nice relaxing break from the hectic pace of the MK. And if your Mom likes the GF, it's a good way to soak up some of the ambience of the resort.

If the menu looks appealing to you and members of your party, go for it.

We have been to both. We love LTT and go to it every trip. My mom came with us last time and loved the food. It's always fresh and plentiful. GF Café is more like a coffee shop to me.

I've only been to breakfast there but have heard good things about dinner. I love going for the food but I would go even if it was mediocre because I just love the GF.:)

Did GFC dinner 2 trips ago. Food was ok, but nothing special. That said if you've done LTT before I'd branch out and try something different. Of course the menu at GFC appeals to me much more than thanksgiving dinner.

We ate there for dinner a few weeks ago and I would give it a mmeehhhh

The atmosphere and decor, and location of being inside the GF are better than the food itself.

I had the steak, it was just okay.

For dessert, I chose the chocolate fondue. The server said he could sub out the orange chocolate for milk chocolate. He literally dumped a bottle of Hershey syrup in the serving dish. When I made a comment to him that it just tasted like Hershey's syrup, he said yes, it's just Hershey's syrup.

Not what I was expecting as milk chocolate......

I would say what made this place more mmeehhhhhh than anything was our waiter. He was slower than tar. I mean really painfully slow. The restaurant was half empty, he had 3 tables seated and 3 tables open. Not like, let us eat time spaced out, like slow enough to wonder if he left and went home.....

He approached our table, said he'd be right with us to take our drink order, then proceeded to bus the empty table 2 tables over, and come back to the table with a tray full of dirty dishes in his hands to take our drink order. There were 6 of us, we each had to say our drink several times for him to get it correct. I ended up just ordering 6 cherry cokes.

He really pushed the shared dessert. He actually said he would just bring 3 plates of the shared desserts, since there were 6 of us and we could just eat what we wanted, and leave what we didn't want...uuummm, no. We each wanted to order something separate.

On the other hand, DH & I ate at GF Cafe for b-fast and it was absolutely wonderful. Our service was great and the food was delicious !

This is disappointing. I've read great reviews online for the GF cafe, especially for the shrimp and cheese grits (my pick,) pork chops, and lobster topped angus burger. It's 4 1/2 stars at TripAdvisor.com. We were planning to eat there the first night. Now I'm wondering if that was the best plan. :scratchin Maybe. I want to take it easy that first night so we'll be well rested for our first full day at the parks.

I can't say enough good things about our dinner there. All the adults ordered the steak and were impressed. My daughter got the meaty macaroni and liked it. The lemon cheesecake was awesome. My daughter loved the worms in dirt. It was one of the best two meals of our 2012 trip.

I did two years ago. They had nothing really veggie for offerings, and with my allergies and such the chef made me a spectacular stir fry dish. MANY asked about it.

That level of Disney service and the overall experience made me book again for this Sept. Peruse the menus and think about it. :goodvibes

We will be going to Grand Floridian Cafe for my birthday dinner on the night we arrive at Disney (October 19th).

I have heard good things about it and I can't wait to be there.

First trip with out kids...25th anniversary trip.

Can't wait we almost at single digit.

We were very disappointed in our dinner there in August. Our server was slow and not really paying attention. The food was disappointing and sadly it was our last meal of the trip...

We visit GFC every single trip and love it! Have eaten for lunch and dinner and both are great. My personal favorite is the shrimp and grits entrée at dinner. The lobster burger, onion soup and dessert sampler are also wonderful! Plus I love to walk around the Grand Floridian and look in all the shops!
