We ate our last WDW lunch at the Grand Floridian cafe. We had never tried this place and I had seen some good reviews. Our waitress was Amber and she did a really good job. We were with our 19 year old CP daughter and they chatted about the CP for a bit.
I started with the Fess Parker Reisling. I couldn't pass up a wine by the family of Daniel Boone! The other options were a Macmurray wine (like Fred Macmurray) and a Disney wine made by Diane Disney Miller's family. The Disney wine, I will add, was $10 more a glass than the Fess Parker. The Parker wine was pretty good!
For lunch we started with the scallop appetizer. Actually DH and I ate it all while my daughter was chatting about the CP so she missed out! Oops!
Maybe next time.
DH got the steak. He enjoyed it but it was not his best steak ever. It wasn't bad, but he was not raving.
DD and I both got the angus chuck lobster burger. Oh. My. God. What an idea; lobster on a hamburger! This will sour me on Max and Erma's burgers at home for a good long while. It was divine.
All in all it was a successful tryout of a new place to eat. We would come here again for a nice lunch. it would be a good option of a place to escape the MK for a meal.

Thanks for sharing! We have an ADR for dinner this Christmas and the lobster burger is on my list! Can't wait! Thx!:santa:

Thanks for the review. We had dinner there on our last trip several years ago and loved it!!

Have an ADR at GFC for lunch on our LAST DAY!

Oh well, a good Cobb Salad "MIGHT CHEER ME UP"???:confused3

ALWAYS SAD leaving such a HAPPY PLACE, but FEEL SO BLESSED to be at WDW during the beginning of December to get in the Christmas spirit!:cheer2::santa:

Thanks for the review! I made an ADR for this restaurant this week for our upcoming trip. We thought we'd escape MK mid-day and we haven't visited GF yet. Glad to hear we made a good choice.

Glad your lobster burger was good. The one I had last week had hardly any lobster meat or even the toppings and was cooked very well when I had asked for medium:confused3. Nowhere near as good as the one I had 3 years ago. Since the server didn't reappear for 15+ minutes after we got our food (in a half empty restaurant) I wasn't in the mood to send it back.

GFC for lunch after an MK morning is our favorite ressie! We always do it as our last day. It is calm, delicious, and the CMs pamper our kids and make us feel special. Plus the lobster burger is all it is cracked up to be! Last trip (a3 and 1/2 day trip, we liked it so much that we booked it two days in a row. :rotfl2:

YUM, YUM! We were trying to "savor" every last moment of the Grand, so instead of eating at the Grand Floridian Café indoors, "took" out and ate our lunch under an umbrella at the pool!:thumbsup2
Rebuen with homemade chips and the Cobb Salad were SO GOOD!
Miss the Grand Floridian, but feel blessed to have had such an awesome vaca!:)

We have a luncheon ADR here in December and I'm so happy after reading the menu my sister wants to go! I am dying to try to lobster burger :flower1:

Thanks for the review. On our next trip we are going there for lunch. I can not wait to taste the surf and turf burger.
