I just don't get why 4 weeks before we leave, every restaurant we try for is booked solid, yet we can always get this restaurant. What are your thoughts on this place? Is it better for breakfast or dinner? We don't really want too many breakfasts this time around because we are going in August and hope to take our break for either lunch or dinner instead of breakfast!

We like it for lunch and a break from Magic Kingdom. Lunch is cheaper and has sandwiches which we like instead of the full blown meal. And they have a bar which Magic Kingdom doesn't. :)

I think it is a hidden gem
I had breakfast once and it was great. I have had dinner there several times, each time food was great as well as the service.

I love it for breakfast and especially lunch. I've never tried dinner there. I definitely agree that it deserves "hidden gem" status.

i think it's a hidden gem :)

it's nice, pretty, generally quiet and has really good food.

i've only had it for lunch, but i'm sure dinner is just as good!! maybe book dinner time, then go out to the marina to watch wishes!!

Best breakfast in WDW (slightly better than Kona). Good lunch. Had a bad dinner experience last year but that could be a fluke.

We ate lunch there last year and loved it. Several of us had the Grand Floridian Burger and thought it was very good.

It was a nice break from the parks and I know my mom and my Uncle enjoyed our meal there as well. The waitress was fantastic about food for our then 2.5 year old and 14 month old. It was not very crowded and was a nice peaceful meal.

We aren't doing a lot of TS this next trip because my little one doesn't like to sit long but if we were going to do more this would be the first one added.

We're planning on trying it this trip! :goodvibes

I really enjoy the Grand Floridian Cafe. It is light and airy and the tables are usually not crammed next to each other. The menu is varied and I have had good to great food here for all 3 meals. The least pleasing was back in 1999 when I had a steak that was really tough. The best was the eggs Benedict I had in 2005....well the reuben for lunch was really good too.

We ate there during the xmas holidays and it was great. We had dinner, I had steak and it was very good. It is a little gem.

We only did it once for dinner. Beautiful setting, good service but none of our party of 5 thought the food was that good.

It's a coffee shop in the sense that it's the resort's casual sit-down restaurant: the kind you find in any hotel worldwide. The food is above average though.

We love GF Cafe!!! My husband wants to eat breakfast there everyday of our trip!! I am giving in to his wish in September, since its out anniversay trip and we will be childless!!! We are also going to try it for dinner (but just once)!!!

Hidden gem! We had a late dinner there and the steak was amazing!! So good that I wanted to lick the plate.

We love it. hidden gem you betcha. First time we had breakfast at GFCafe I sat next to Vinjay Sing(spelling is wrong-PGA player) so nice. we sat at the windows & watched the CM's plant flowers they were so quick we were all amazed. and the food was good so we go back every trip. Last trip we did dinner had the best fish I had the trip. Service has always been very good for us too...Kae

We love that the GFC is a "hidden gem"...makes it easy to get in! LOL....we love it and travel to it for a breakfast and a dinner each trip. :thumbsup2

We had a last minute dinner here a few years ago and the food was amazing...and had breakfast here too and the place was just about empty, very peaceful and relaxing
