This dinner was on our arrival day. We were all very very tired and famished. We arrive at 6:45 and were seated promptly.
As soon as we sat down our waitress came right over and took our drink order. We had our team and Spite on the table in about 3 minutes. She asked us if we needed a few minutes to place our appetizer order, but we were ready. We ordered two ceasar salads and one house salad with ranch and a kids salad with ranch. The ranch dressing in Disney is not that great, but the salads were certainly enjoyable.
For dinner we ordered two Land and Seas, 1 childs chicken strips and a grilled chicken dinner. My steak was to be cooked medium well, but it was overcooked at well done. It was okay though, it was not too tough and still tasted good. My sister enjoyed hers very much. Our friend liked her chicken and my Princess enjoyed her chicken strips. They allowed us to substitute the lobster with shrimp. There were 6 big plump grilled shrimp on our plate, yummy!
For dessert we had the minis. I do not remember which ones we had, but they were wonderful!!
Our service was great. Our waitress, Laura, was very sweet and took great care of us. The kitchen was very slow that night, but she never let us go without a basket of bread on the table or allowed our glass to empty.
The only negative part of the meal was the family sitting across from us. There were 18 people at this table with 8 children all younger than 5. The parents were encouraging these children to beat on their plates with their silverware. I wanted to go beat on the parents with my silverware too, mainly my steak knife. This is no discredit to Disney or the Grand Floridian Cafe. I wish the CMs would have asked them to chill out, but you have to pick your battles, right?
Overall I rate the Grand Floridian Cafe with an A.
