how is the view of the fireworks from the beach area? We have watched from the beach at the Poly, but were thinking about eating at the GF cafe for dinner and watching the fireworks from there... have any of you done that?

You're not going to see much from the GF beach as it looks off toward Epcot. Best bet would be to either walk down to the boat dock or find a spot right around the marina. Gasparillas Grill has some outside tables.

Think I may change back to Ohanna's for that night.

My family held a dinner party at the Summerhouse last year. I wanted our party to end with a view of the fireworks. My Event Manager told me that we wouldn't be able to view the fireworks from the beach, however, the marina area would be perfect. With his help, I planned a surprise dessert party at the marnia to follow the Summerhouse dinner party. Believe me, that man knew exactly what he was talking about.
