Grand Cayman - suggestions?

Seven mile beach. You can get access through the Marriott and have a nice lunch. The cab (van) was inexpensive and when we were leaving the Marriott's doorman called us another cab.

We've been to Grand Cayman twice. Stingray City is amazing - we booked through DCL. Last year, we booked a day room at the Westin and took a cab to get there. Beautiful beach, nice pool, water toys, etc. All available to hotel guests. The room was very reasonable.

I would also recommend the Sting Ray City excursion, we had a great time! My husband and I booked the Sting Ray City and Dolphin Encounter combined excursion through DCL. We loved taking the boat out the sand bar and swimming with the sting rays, you are able to touch them, feed them if you like and of course there is someone out there with a camera.

The second part of the excursion was the Dolphin Encounter, I was highly disappointed with that part. However, I will say that my first Dolphin Encounter excursion was in Nassau in the Bahamas at the Atlantis Resort - let me just say they set the bar and my expectations extremely high for what a dolphin encounter should be like. They ruined me! lol

We went last August with 7 year olds and did Stingray city. Was the highlight of our trip, we are still talking about it. We did not do an excursion sponsored by the ship, we went on our own with Captain Marvins arranged everything thru their website. Very professional and it was a great experience.

Went in April with a 6 year old and 15 year old. We did the Turtle Farm and Dolphin Encounter - everyone absolutely loved it. We wish we had more time to spend at the Turtle Farm it was so great! Definitely a hit with the little one especially, but even the teenager was impressed.

Did you get wetsuits at the dolphn encounter? My kids are very concerned about this.

No wet suits. We wore our swimsuits - there is a place to change into dry clothes afterwards.
