Any one have any experience with the following resorts for "day passes" as excursions in Grand Cayman and Cozumel? Thanks!

Grand Cayman: Royal Palms Resort

Cozumel: Nachi Cocum Beach Club

Cozumel: 12 meter Regatta - Hands down, this was one of the best, if not the best, shore excursions my DW and I have ever done on any of our 11 Disney cruises.

Grand Cayman: We did the turtle farm but I believe this is no longer available.

I haven't done it, but I looked into the Royal Palms Resort. Almost went with it, but decided not to. Biggest reason, I just didn't get why I would pay a couple of hundred dollars to lay around a pool (I'm not really a beach person) and pay expensive prices for food for a day when I have the ship at hand with a pool and food already paid for. Also, the pool at Royal Palms is adult only.

I was in Nachi Cocum in Cozumel last Friday and it was gorgeous. It's an all inclusive beach club. Drinks were great and food was delicious. I'd definitely go back.

I'm curious as to why you chose Nachi Cocum. I have been looking at beach clubs too, and I am also considering Paradise Beach and Mr Sanchos.

When I was looking I had narrowed it down to either Mr. Sanchos or Nachi. I just liked the reviews for Nachi on cruise critic better than Mr. Sanchos. I also liked that Nachi keeps the maximum amount of guests to 100 people per day. I liked the more personal attention from the staff. It was a very nice place. We drove passed Mr. Sanchos on the way to Nachi. They are very close to each other. I'm sure with either one it will be a good experience.

We have been to Nachi twice and did Nachi and Royal Palm on our cruise this past spring break. We are beach people, btw.

We chose Nachi because of the limited number of guests, and the price seemed reasonable to us (especially with included food and unlimited drink).

We've vacationed at GC before, so we were familiar with area and 7 mile beach. We were iffy on whether we really needed a cabana, but after having one we were glad we had one. It was surprising how less crowded it felt just a few feet back with some privacy. And though not included, our food was delicious.

Cayman Turtle Farm isn't listed as an excursion any more, but we were thinking about going on our own. Was it a good experience for you?

It was an interesting experience. I'm an amateur photographer and I was able to get some great pictures of the turtles that I would not be able to get anywhere else. Being that your going on your own save yourself some extra time...you don't want to miss the ship when it leaves. It's a long swim back to Port Canaveral....

The excursion called Boatwains Marine Park is the Turtle Farm.
there's another excursion that includes the turtle farm. It's shorter, 2-2.5 hours and it includes a quick stop at a section of 7 mile beach, hell and then the rest of the time at the turtle farm. We chose this one bc our children were on the younger side, 2 and 6, and it was perfect for us.

We did both Royal Palms and Nachi Cocum on our Western and absolutely loved both days! Nachi Cocum was one of my best beach days ever! It is a less active experience than some of the other locations close by, but even my kids loved the day~

Nachi Cocum is a private paradise!! It was our girls' first beach experience and nothing has compared since. For most of the afternoon we had the beach to ourselves and spent hours playing frisbee in the water. Considering a cruise in March and can't imagine not going back.

In Cozumel we did the Catamaran snorkel and beach excursion. Absolutely LOVED it! We left our dd5 on board though as she's not a great swimmer and she was in good hands.

On GC we did the Island tour (hell) and turtle farm. It was ok but one I wouldnt do again. Next time I hope to do some snorkeling there as well as I heard the excursion for snorkeling from our cruise peeps absolutely loved that one.
