Has anyone been to the Grand Californian Spa? Everytime I go to WDW I intend on getting a massage, but with there being so much to do there I never make the time.

I figured since we're trying DL, I could fit in time to enjoy a massage, but haven't heard alot of reviews about it.

Anyone.....?

Can't answer your question by experience but checked into the prices. They have quite a few different massages including aromatherapy and a sports massage-They are about $75 per 1/2 hr. I'd also like to hear from someone who has actually experienced the spa first hand.

Thanks for posting these! Did you have a spa treat/massage while you were there? How was it?

I'm checking in to the GC on 9/22 through 9/27. My plan is to try the California Glow and a Swedish massage. There didn't seem to be a "urgency" to schedule, so I was planning to wait until I got there to make a reservation. I'll give a report when I return.

Please post as soon as you can-we leave for GCH on the 29th!

I had a massage at the Eureka Springs spa back in June.

The therapist's name was AJ and she was very good. I had a 90 min massage and it was WONDERFUL. DH took the kids to see Finding Nemo and I had a few hours of peace; had the massage, a nice lunch then sat by the pool with a magazine, a cold one and NO KIDS! (just for a little while - it was nice!!)

I was surprised to see how small the facilities are - the ladies locker room was fairly tiny with about 15 lockers, 3 potties, a steam room + a sauna. Given the size of the hotel, I expected somewhat larger facilities. There are only 2 treatment rooms, which are to the right off the short hallway behind the reception desk, and the mens and ladies locker rooms are to the left.

I made my reservation 3 weeks prior and the day I made it, they said the day I wanted (Sat 6/28) was wide open. When I called that morning to confirm my appt, the person who answered the phone misunderstood my question & said they were all booked up. I would definately call a few weeks prior to make an appt rather than waiting till you get there.

I would get there about 10 - 15 minutes prior to your appt to get changed & maybe sit in the steam room for a few minutes. I believe you can also use the workout facilities when you book any treatment.

Hope this helps! It really was a nice massage.

Just what I was looking for-thanks.
