the more likely thing that could happen in 7-8 yrs is that you decide you want an add-on contract 😂
try 7 MONTHS for us... (back in 2017)
Oh yeah, I could definitely see us adding another contract if we want to ditch studios or go on more/longer trips. OR...if our son absolutely loves WDW when we finally go.....might have to consider a contract over there. Because, why not? :laughing:
That's the spirit! We bought BLT to alternate annual trips in a studio and 1br. We have stayed in a BLT studio once, on an anniversary trip without the kids. We now stay 1-2br and go 2-3x a year.
 

I'm thinking its a danger for VDL potential buyers to purchase that resort with restrictions . I would much prefer to own VGC without restrictions for more money. VGC is going to be more valuable going forward for that one reason. Either way they are both probably more valuable to someone who lives on the west coast. I'm from Boston so it holds less value to me than say a BCV or VBW contract. How often do East coast DVC owners go to DL anyway ?

Right now you can't purchase VGC direct though so you pretty much have to buy resale with restrictions if you want to own there.

Yeah...I was thinking the same thing. (Just hope my contract goes through! I'll be nervous until it does.) I have a feeling buying VDH direct is going to be more than I would have wanted to pay for points there.

FWIW, I was told that DVC is approving ROFR faster than Mason Title can complete background checks. So, expect for the paperwork to take a bit of time before it gets emailed over to you. Then it can take a while for the sellers to get the paper documents, get them notarized, and return them to the title company. Then it will take at least 2 weeks for Disney to create a membership…

So, it’s a process….

Yeah, I'm dreading it. I'm so impatient! I will breathe at least one big sigh of relief when I hear if it passes ROFR. I've noticed a lot of people lately have been hearing by day 6 or 7. So I guess we'll see what happens. When it (hopefully) passes, will I get an email from the title company or from https://dvcsales.com/?

What Restrictions ? Your only restriction is you can't use those points at Riviera. A DLV purchase on the resale market would only be able to use those points at DLV
