I have a trip coming up very soon and I keep second guessing my hotel choice. Which would you choose ? There are two adults and a 9 year old boy. We want to do galaxys edge and have two days booked in HS. Other than that we want to be somewhere with lots to do since the parks close early. Any advice would be appreciated thank you

With a 9 year old I'd say Yacht.

If only 2 adults and under normal circumstances I'd say GDT as I think it has a lot more options than Yacht (we love Yacht0.

How is the walk from YC to HS? I'm contemplating this exact question as the OP, whether to consider YC or CS. But, for me I don't care about Stormalong Bay.

Others have accurately posted walk time, but chiming in to add there is the skyliner now. Will take you about the same time but is IMO a more fun and comfortable way to get to HS from YC (you do have to transfer at Caribbean beach, but we found it to be efficient and easy). Only downside is if there is lightning in they don't run the skyliner.

Yacht Club is my favorite resort on property (though since buying DVC I haven't stayed there in 20 or so years now). I think you'll be happy with your choice. Stormalong Bay, proximity to DHS, EP, the Boardwalk, there is nothing like staying at a Crescent Lake resort from my perspective. I haven't stayed at GDT, and I have heard awesome things about it, but any time I've gone to WDW and not stayed at a Crescent Lake resort, I felt like I was missing out on something.

In my original post I forgot to mention we were married in the yacht club gazebo 25 years ago we couldn’t afford to honeymoon there so we stayed at all star sports (which I think had just opened lol) so it will be fun to show our son where we got married lol 😂 Now I am super excited 😊

I wouldn’t spend my money on YC with no park hopping available. And BC (actually any Epcot resort) is my favorite.

To me that’s the biggest perk of the Epcot results. Being able to pop into Epcot for food or just to grab a drink at the end of the day.

The proximity of the parks being a close second.

Our next trip is going to be all about GE and epcot. I chose CSR since right now you need a park reservation and there’s no hopping. With the money I’m saving we will uber to the parks.
