Gramma jinxed disney on spring break! PARTING THOUGHTS 06/15/09

Okay, contestants, the answer to the previous trivia question: b) "Is this a nightmare, or what?" To which Alex replies, "Oh, Ellen, your first correct response!"

Scoring in this one: Dan, Morgtroy and Lorrie!

Oh, and I still haven't earned the slushy - anyone want to donate your points to me?

I spent all day today doing my taxes - yeah me! We are getting a nice refund, thanks to my home business - highly recommend it:thumbsup2 Saves us thousands every year! (Oh, and Dawn - you asked about the "self employment tax" - well this year I paid better attention, and it is in there - TurboTax figures it in!)

Now I know we can go on both vacations (going to Vegas in April) and not feel guilty!:woohoo:

Okay, my faithful readers, moving on over to World Showcase, let's see how observant we all are:

Now I know some people are looking for the grey goose cart about now, and someone else I know is putting a glass of Prosecco on her daughter's tray:rolleyes1 BUT, if you look up:

What is located at the top of the campanile (bell tower) in the Italy Pavilion?

a) An Angel
b) A statue of Jesus
c) A cross
d) A statue of St. Mark

Extra Credit Question:

What character(s) can you often find signing autographs in full sombrero and serape near the Mexico pavilion?

a) Mickey
b) Goofy
c) The Three Caballeros
d) Donald

Have a great Monday everyone!

I'm picking a and c. I hope I do better this time, I am seriously sucking at this game!

I'm going with "a" for part one; and "d" for part two.

it's not that i don't pay attention.....it's that i have a bad habit of not reading TRs unless they've updated their title. i'm subbed to too many and i can't read all the chatter in all of them! :rotfl: oh, how i wish i didn't have to work and could just sit around and read TRs all day. i wonder if there's a job where i could do that?????? :surfweb: :lmao:
sorry did notmean to give you a hard time, or did i.
:rolleyes1

now back to kicking your butt on the trivia game.

Ok here's my thought process, I thought it was a warrior. I have a picture somewhere that I zoomed in on the top. But no "warrior" in your answers. So I thought, all of Epcot is patterned after the things in the actual countries. Three semesters of Art History in college, I think I remember it's called St. Mark's square where the bell tower is...
So D is my "educated" guess.:rotfl:

Extra credit, is this a trick?
I'm saying C and D, because I thought it was Donald and the 3 Caballeros

Congratulations on the taxes, that's great news. I'm still waiting for our accountant to finish ours. I'm anxious to see it.

Let's do the banana dance, our trip is coming FAST.    :woohoo:

I am picking A for the first one, and for the second one,i am picking D, i am thinking it is a trick question and you are trying to confuse us.

i will say why when you post the answer...you tricky tricky lady.

IOU=NO GOOD pirate:

Yes, Dan! I'm sorry it's so late! I was too tired to post another question last night, and too busy today to get on!

The answer to the Italy question:
a) an angel. (crap, I got another one wrong - thank goodness for those "borrowed points!")
The 83-foot bell tower is a replica of the one in the real St. Mark's square in Venice. (I had the St. Mark's part right)

The Mexico question:

d) DONALD!!!   (My first right answer!)

For this question the points are:

Dan - 2
Cammie - 2 (see, she does look up!:thumbsup2 )
Ellen - 1
Morgtroy - 1
Dawn -1
Lorrie -1
Drea - 1

Did I miss anyone?:confused3

I'll go back and do a tally later.

New question next post!

Okay, moving on to Animal Kingdom on Tues, Mar 24th:

In the DINOSAUR queue (what is that word, anyway?) area, what does it say on the red and yellow pipes that you can see as you descend the stairs and approach the ride vehicle?

a) Hot and cold
b) Smoking and non-smoking
c) Ketchup and mustard
d) Mickey and minnie

Ok - I'm going to be obnoxious now..................

WOOHOO!!!!:cool1:  :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2: :dancer: :tiptoe: :teeth: :jumping1:

And see Tammie, even when I'm doing all that drinking around the world in Epcot, I am still observing my surroundings and learning stuff!:thumbsup2

Now for the next question - this is a COMPLETE guess because I've never been on Dinosaur and have never even walked past the ride; but I'll go with:

"C"

So much for art history, I guess it did take me as far as St Mark's square. :rotfl2: I knew that stuff wouldn't help me in the "real world":rotfl: You know I'm going to really look at the top of the bell tower when I'm there in a few days.

I think you have me stumped on the next one too, but I'll take a wild guess and say B.

Have you started packing yet?

That's why I never took Art History:rotfl2: I can't believe how close our trip is!:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

And NO :scared1: I haven't started packing yet. I'm usually pretty much packed by now, especially in the Winter. I've just been so busy. I will probably not have time until this weekend, then finishing on Wed! We leave on Thurs!

The Mexico question:

d) DONALD!!!   (My first right answer!)

I knew this was a trick question, because the other ones are out ther esigning autographs with him most of the time but they dont wear sombreros, they have other goofy hats

Ummm A, no B, noo lets make it C, D does not make any sense so i am down to A<B<C that is my final answer

C ketchup is red, and mustard is yellow
final aswer is C

Because hot is red and cold is blue

smoking is red, and non smoking is clear. so you would see a clear pipe.

process of elimination

i win
