grad nite crowds

do these grads stay in MK, or do they park hop everywhere? Do they come in earlier than 7pm...or are they only allowed to come into the park for "GRAD NITE"

They stay in MK...(some have a "Blast off party at PI or MGM prior to MK arrival, but those areas would be closed off to day guests so it does not interfere)...As far as their arrival is concerned they are only allowed in once the park is cleared of all day guests (the local kids of course could come in during the day if they had a ticket to do so). For the most part the kids are only at WDW for the event. They are bused in from their school and arrive right around 7pm and they are bused home right after the event. Some schools do travel a longer distance and stay over night, but not many. The early arrival schools (that come at 7pm) actually enter the park behind Splash Mountain in Frontierland so that they are not interferring with the monorails and boats that are servicing the guests that are still exiting MK. They start to use the front entrance for the schools that arrive around 9pm (they stager arrivals so that it is not one mass entrance into the park.)

We were there last year during Grad Nites and it only interfered with our touring one morning. We went to get in line for the MGM bus at ASMo and there were about 100 teenagers already in line. They may not have been part of Grad Nite....who knows. We hopped on the Epcot bus instead and decided to stay there until we were ready to go to MGM, then hopped on the boat. We were told that they are, for the most part, bused in to the MK for that one party and then bused back home.
