Can anyone tell me when Grad Nights or Star Wars weekend is for 2005? What exactly is Grad night? I think I might have booked my trip for then (April 24th thru May 4th)and now I heard it is quite crazy at that time. Lots of teens and very crowded etc? Will this be a problem going then or are there places I should avoid on certain days etc. Is it crazy and crowded all over WDW at this time? My DH hates crowds and I thought by booking then we would be fairly safe from crowds since Easter week will be long gone and most Spring breaks are over. Any input is greatly appreciated

I was there in 2003 for grad night, I didn't see alot of teens, they closed the park early for grad night though.

April 24 - May 4 is our spring break time from school this year. Because Easter is in March and the way Passover falls we are only off two days for Easter and a week in Apr/May. I don't know if there are many other schools on break that week.

I was there from April 30 - May 9 this past year and the crowds were very managable. Grad Nights really had no impact other than they close MK early for the teen party. After the party they are taken back home on busses. They don't stay at WDW. There were no huge crowds.

Star Wars only really affects MGM. I'm not sure when that will be next year. That maybe someone else has some input on. If you go during that time, just avoid MGM on those days.

You may want to consider postponing for a week if you are conserned about crowding, I would be more worried about spring breakers than Grad nights or Star Wars.

You will have a great trip whenever you go. It is WDW afterall!!!

I happened to be in MGM during a Star Wars weekend. It was in May & from my understanding it is a few weekends. And if you want to know if MGM is more crowded.....answer is YES!!! It was pretty wild seeing Storm Troopers & Darth Vader walking around though.

Does anyone know if there will be alot of "spring-breakers" around at the end of April/ beginning of May in 2005? It was to my understanding that mostly all spring breaks are over by the 3rd week of April. Where we live in PA our schools don't even get a spring break. The schools here only close from the Thursday before Easter to Easter Monday. Some don't even close for Easter Monday if there were too many "snow"days that winter. Well anyway, if anyone knows about any late spring breaks between April 24th and May 4th let me know. Thanks again.:)

I'm curious, too. We were looking at April 23-30, thinking that Easter would be long gone and most Spring breaks would be over with. Our kids don't get a Spring break either, just the Friday before and Monday following Easter (IF we don't lose them to make up "snow days" as Cindie-rella said).

Maybe we could use a new poll? The only recent one I saw had choices that ended with the first week of April.

Edited to add: Here it is...a Spring Break Poll that I think covers every available week! Vote!

2005 SWW info wont be out until sometime next year in all likelihood.

I've asked and seen this question a few times since that's when we're planning our next trip. It seems that most schools on Long Island and many in New Jersey are off the last week of April. My guess would be any area with a large Jewish population will have break that week. We're gonna try to make it down even though it's spring break and Grad night...hoping to be at my computer when Southwest releases their fares.
