I am a new member and am traveling to WDW soon and arriving on one of the Grad Nights. Has anyone else gone as a family during this time? Is there anything else to be aware of besides the fact that MK closes early for the kids? Is it crowded with teens before and after? Thanks for any help

HI - the Grad Nights are April 20-21 and April 27-28. They are listed on allearsnet.com

I did a search for "grad night" and came up with a few posts. I tried to post a link but couldn't because I don't have 10 posts yet. HTH.

Oh, and TwinglesMFP, thanks for the dates! I thought they would be in June since I'm from CA and that's when they would be. I'm in the clear! :cool1:

Stellagirl - You are welcome. Have a great trip. I will be there from 4/21-4/28, which is why I knew the nights!

I've been to WDW with my family several times during grad nights.
No, we never noticed the parks being crowded with teens.

Thanks. I got the dates originally on the WDW website on the MK park calendar. It was posted on there and had the park closing at 7. So far the only con I hear is traffic but hopefully our flight gets in before that and possibly being woken up by fireworks at midnight since we are staying at the CR.

hey twingles i will be there the same dates...

Hi Momsoftwins - I take you have some twins in your family...what age are they and are they b/b, g/g, or b/g? Mine are b/g - and are 9. What a rollercoaster it has been with them :yay:

We will be at the Poly - what about you?

Jackie

Hi there! I used to work in Disney in 2000 durning Grad Nights.. Unless something's changed since then, here's how it works. The grads who come in are all localish kids. They don't get bussed into MK until that night. Because they are local, I don't think they plan to make a weekend of the parks or anything really like that. I think they are bussed in then bussed back to where they came from :) I don't think you have too many problems because of it, except maybe the fireworks like you mentioned :) I hope you have a great trip! :D
