Now that the election is over, let's hope DIS posters, on both sides of the aisle, can show grace and dignity.

I've been on the community boards since the announcement was made. Sadly, I don't think some people can or are willing to show grace and dignity.
I'm with you. I have mostly stayed out the political threads on the DIS since the 2004 election when the comment "have an issue, get a tissue" was made to one of the Kerry supporters shortly after Bush was declared the winner. That smarted!I'd like to remind my fellow Democrats just how crappy it felt 4 years ago when we were called whiners and crybabies and to implore them to not act the same way this time. Let McCain supporters grieve the way they want. This has been a long election and people have invested a lot of emotion into it and deserve to be treated with respect. Let it go, move on and be happy that your candidate won.
----------------------------Sadly, I have to agree with you. I have already seen the sour grapes, and the world is going to end stuff. And I have seen the in your face, hahaha! we won stuff.
So sad.

Tomorrow is a new day - and one that I am looking forward to..![]()
No one is promised tomorrow....some can have an aggressive cancer with a 2 week to 2 month survival rate.....

Roll eyes all you want, this was the news we received today about my cousins Dh today,he just turned 50 and they have an 8 yr old son.....just making a point....to what a PP mentioned, that is all.
However, doctors are not always correct - don't let your optimism fail you now.. Pray (if you are so inclined) and help this family live each day to the fullest while they still can..

I haven't see any ha ha in your face posts on the Obama threads. Just happy people celebrating. The posts from McCain supporters have some being positive, but many being negative and still smearing and telling lies. And for the record, Joy To The World was not played after Obama's acceptance speech. Sometimes I just want to bang my head on the wall! Not tonight though. I'm just a happy camper.![]()
