It was OK, they said the wound looked better.

That's good to hear.

That is quite a dilemna. I really feel unquailified to weigh in, but in true DIS fashion, I am going to anyway. It seems like this is a lifelong dream of hers. I always think people should go for their dreams, but agree with Princess that you should not go into debt to do it. If you could comfortably invest your time and money, I would say do it. The sooner, the better. I know Fran has a lot going on right now with her injury, but this could get her mind off that and onto something else. At the same time, the potential stress this could cause (expenses, time, getting a new group together, rehearsing, etc) would just add to the stress she is already feeling with her recovery.

It really is a tough call. I guess my determining factor would be how do you truly feel about it? If you are not into it, I do not think it is fair to drag you through the unnecessary stress. DH and I have things that we do together and things that we persue separately. She should go after it on her own if you are not into it with minimal input from you. There is a balance between supporting her and putting what you want aside for her. All of that said, I think it sounds really cool. Getting a tax deduction for doing a wonderful thing sounds like a dream come true. I hope she gets what she wants, and you get what you want. If those wants are different, hopefully you can meet somewhere in the middle.

If you both want the band, I would love to hear something down the road.

Well said.
Good morning everyone! :woohoo::banana::dance3::woohoo::dance3:

Can you tell I am happy? :rolleyes1

How'd the 7AM blasting go?:lmao:

The dogs were my blasting tool. We were done moving in 3 hours. Started at 8 am and actually it was about 10:30. I need to call the cable now, they have screwed up badly.

I hope your cable gets straighten out soon. Congrats on the fast move, all your pre-move stuff really paid off.

I hope Fran is keeping her leg up. We are all in and the only thing left to do is hang the paintings and put up a few blinds. The neighbors are so nice, they came and said to come to the block party. I had to explain that we are exhausted and we appreciated the offer. I am so tired. I couldnt walk to the end of the block if I had to.

Slow day. Caught up quickly. Long day of swim class, shopping and not one but two birthday parties. Received excellent news that Club 33 had opened up the waitlist!!!! In about 15 years give or take, I will be a member! Glad the waitlist is so long, because it will take me that long to save for it. Maybe, I can meet Alison at an event if I do not meet her in Vegas sometime before that.

Glad you're done moving and you got a little payback with the noise. After all of that waiting, they messed up. Hopefully, it gets fixed soon.

:faint: i just spent 8 hours cleaning garages!

I will be doing this in a few more weeks. I want to have a garage sale, but DH wants me to sell everything on Ebay instead. I just want to do everything in one day and be done with it.

Sounds like the kiddos kept you busy.

They were as exhausted as I was. The boys have pictures tomorrow, so I need to wash the new outfits I bought. I am too tried to climb the stairs.

That will be me next weekend when I have my niece and nephew for a couple of nights. There's a reason we have kids when we're young. I don't think I could keep up the pace anymore at my age.

I am only 32, and they wear me out a lot. My MIL loves watching my kids, but they wear her out a lot too. She is actually going to watch them for a few hours after their pictures tomorrow, so Crap and I can have a date. Alison told me about the Titanic exhibit, so I am making him take me there. Hope you have fun with your niece and nephew. My nieces will spend the night before Memorial Day here, so I will have four kids for the night. :scared1:

Have you checked out the new fee structure? I don't think that the waitlist will be so long with the new announcement. I've read some posts that people are not willing to pay those prices to become members. I'm just glad that we upgraded with no initiation fee. I hope those that chose not to upgrade are allowed to continue as members and don't want the extra perks. Personally I am enjoying the extra perks.
