GPS Units

Hello fellow Dis'ers. I'm looking to buy a GPS unit for my wife for Christmas and I was wondering what others have. I've looked at Garmin, and like what i see, but I was wondering if you can download easily on them. When it comes to downloading, is it easy? How does downloading work? Does it cost anything? Sorry for my ignorance, but I know nothing of these things.

Here is a thread on the budget board recently that had good info on GPS units. I don't know enough to tell you one way or the other, I'm sorry. I do know that my husband has a couple different GPS issued to him that is Garmin.

I wouldn't know...my wife did all that with our Garmin. That should answer your question.
