Are there specific addresses I'd need to punch into my Magellan to guide me to various WDW destinations, or would something general like 'Magic Kingdom' or 'Epcot' get me to the visitor's parking lot at these and other places? If we decide to keep our Dollar rental ressie want my driving experience there to be as painless as possible, Jan. 2005 was the last time we've had a car there and I never was very familiar with navigating WDW in the firat place.

Thanks,

Not Magellan, but I've used Hertz Never-Lost many times when in Disney and I just type in where I want to go, it's smart enough to know where the resorts and parks are (note: resorts have to be typed in as "Disney's Grand Floridian" not just "Grand Floridian", etc.)

Word of caution with any GPS, the shortest route between locations often does not include public roads, meaning you have to pay attention and ignore the GPS instructions if it tells you to take a turn on a cast-member only road.

Here's something from Mousesavers that might be helpful.
Someone has developed POI files that can be loaded onto some Garmin, TomTom and Magellan GPS units.

We did this and it was pretty good. We have a Tom Tom.

I have mentioned this before, but make sure your voice is set to a computer generated one, rather than a pre-recorded version. The computer voice will clearly state street names for you, which is really important at Disney World. Sometimes there is more than one "right turn" and it's impossible to know if you took the right one until you are on it and the GPS starts "recalculating route." Having the GPS tell me what street to use is much more helpful.

Don't follow Disney signage if you can help it. Get a map from Bell Services and follow that, plus your GPS. The signage always sends you the longest way, I swear. Biggest roads, more lanes, etc. to handle traffic volume is the rule at Disney World. Smaller roads and straight lines is best for us!!

We have a Garmin and its search brought up each park and the "main" entrance. It took us everywhere on property without a single problem.
