GPS handheld units

Does anyone know about these? Do you have to sign up for some kind of service? Is the Cobra GPS100 any good?

No sign up required.
We use a Garmin eTrex Legend for our geocaching adventures.

eTrex - right on track! That's what hubby uses....no sign up, it gets it's info from satellites.
