We are looking to purchase GPS for our install Vehicles for our business.
Any feedback would be appreciated :)

A GPS to track your vehicles or to provide directions?

I am male, My GPA was 3.5, but I still Get Lost. And I won't ask for Directions. Conclusion, GPA's don't work well for directions

Well, mine is only a 3.1, and it was only a state school at that, so you probably don't want it.

But my Garmin Nuvi is awesome, and I like it better than dh's Magellan!

Just provide directions. We are always printing maps for the days route.

Sorry about the type O:rotfl:

I have a 7 year old model, one of the first to come out. It is priceless. While camping we would cruise the back roads of wisconsin after dark with no fear of getting lost. Back then they did not do much street to street navigation. But newer models look great. You should be able to send routes to a memory card and give to each car at the beginning of each day.

But GPS or any other dashboard device are the number one items stolen from cars. So get them insured.

Also the cost of lost time for getting lost once or twice easily offsets the pruchase price.

I got an e-mail from a company soliciting us to install them in our fleet for a monthly service charge recently. The nice thing is that it also allowed us to track where our trucks were at any given time. If I can find it, I'll post the name of the company and their web iste. you might be able to just google it as well.

DO you mean I would send a route from my computer?

That would be appreciated. We are a small business to cost is a concern.

DO you mean I would send a route from my computer?

Based only on operating my old unit, yes.

Mine included a computer interface program where I could plan routes ahead of time and send them to my GPS. but mine was a proprietary memory card so I could not send it directly to the card. I had to have the GPS device plugged into the computer to transfer any data to or from...

My husband really likes his and I believe he has a Garmin.

I did a quick Google search to see if I could find you some Garmin reviews and instead found this site you might more useful:
