gown on the plane....

For those of you that flew down...
What airline did you take? Was there any difficulty in carrying your dress on the plane? Did they make you check it?

I flew on SouthWest on 3/31, leaving from Philly. No problem at all. I just laid the folded garment bag with my dress in it in the overhead compartment. I was actually surprised that my dress wasn't very wrinkled at all. Just as info--I used the whire garment bag sold at David's Bridal.

I flew on a small commuter Delta plane and they put it in the Captain's closet. The flight attendant even reminded me over the PA to not forget it.....like I could have LOL!

We flew down on Delta and the flight attendants put it into their closet. On the way home we were on Song and they put it into the area where they store the blankets, pillows and their carryons. Both times the attendants could not have been any nicer.

we just made our reservations with jet blue to fly down to orlando and they don't have a closet to put the dress in ... should I just pack it in a bag and carry it on?

We flew down on Spirit Airlines, all the people on the plane were super nice and helpful! They had to pry my dress out of my hands, because I was not about to let go of it, the lady was laughing at me and reassuring me that she wasnt going to hurt it! She laid the dress down in an over head compartment a few seats up from me, it was a compartment that did not have any seperations in it so she was able to completly ley it flat. Then they gave my entire family and the better half of the wedding party free drinks and snacks! They were really cool!
