Hi ~ I work for a municipal govt and learned that I qualify for the Govt Rate at the S & D. What do I need to bring as proof? I was thinking a recent pay stud. Thanks, S

Of course you could bring a "stud," but a pay "stub" might work better! :p
Sorry, I couldn't resist!

LOL LOL LOL! Thanks for the giggle, I needed that! Unfortunately, no studs at my work!

I only work part time, I did call about a year ago that S&D said I still qualify. S

JOC......I got a laugh out of that, too.

( OH.......I wish !!! ) I go to WDW solo, Hubby stays home with the cats !! ( but THAT's another story ) LOL !

Anyway, I always bring my New York State Gov't employee
card that I have to wear at work. I also bring my card for health insurance, AND the most recent pay STUB. I bring it all for proof.

I dont suppose that the family of the government worker (me and the 4 kids) could get this discount WITHOUT the actual worker being there could you....

I could bring his paystub and our marraige certificate----

I brought a pay stub and a letter from my employer on the muni letterhead. I recommend the letter because they insisted on keeping a copy of my "proof" and my pay stub has my SS# on it. These days you can't be too careful about protecting yourself from identity theft.

I work for the public (state) university system in Massachusetts...does that count??? I pay into the state retirement that I'll probably never see!!!

UMASS,

When I called the Dolphin, they informed that the rate was for military, teachers, nurses, along with federal, state and local employees. I am assuming that you are paid through the State of MA and it should indicate this on your paystub; the CSR told me that the paystub with my name and license to prove it is me is all that is needed. Please note that the Dolphin and Swan charge a $10 resort fee per night for use of their facilities (gym and such), including morning coffee and a newspapers. You used to be able to waive the fee but no longer; from what I read on the these forums, the Swan has been mroe helpful in deleting this charge from the bill. However, my husband and I are going to the Dolphin because it is closer to the parks and $139 a night for a Deluxe is a steal:) Good luck!:p

Tell me about the morning coffee? S

There will be a coffee maker and coffee packets in your room. Use of these are included in your $10 resort fee, along with a daily newspaper (USA Today during the week and Florida Today on the weekends), use of the gym/health club, and 1 hour of local phone calls (I think) per day.

I hope that this helps!!

1. My wife is a retired government employee. Does she get a discount?
2. I am a (unpaid) member of the local planning board. Do I qualify?

:jester:

I know of someone who is retired and recieved the discount so it wouldn't hurt to call and ask 800 227-1500

I believe the employee needs to be there
