I've seen people refer to a gov rate. Is this a military discount or is this a discount that state and fed employees can get? Just curious, as my husb does some consulting work for the state.

Only at the Swan and Dolphin and you must have an ID card that shows you are a Federal or State or City(not sure on this one) employee. Consultants are not employees - just contractors.

Thanks for the quick reply. We'll have to check into things, because now that I think of it, he does receive a govt rate when booked for overnights, and he does have a state ID. Something to explore.

We used my husband's pay stub from state for the govt. rate at the Dolphin.

We used the govt. rate in May. My husband isn't technically a govt. employee, but his company is federally mandated, he has a fed. govt. ID, his company gets govt. rate for hotels (maybe airfare and rental cars, too).
We passed it by the company before we used this rate, wanting to be sure it was proper. The HR director was all excited that they all possibly could get this great rate!!

was the govt rate pretty good? I can get a govt rate, but was wondering what the reg rate there is and what the gov rate there is?

I recently made a reservation at the Dolphin (for 2004) and I specifically asked if County gov't is included in the gov't rate and the res clerk said yes!

:)

129 !(plus resort fee- she was very specific about that.

The govt rate is the same as the teacher and nurse rate. It's $129 at the Dolphin and $144 at the Swan.

Just booked this, 129 not including tax...and unlike other poster I was told it does not include the resort fee and said that it never does and it is a mandatory fee that is non-negotiable. I may call back to try and get our of it.

Sorry Katrina,

You misunderstood me. The resort fee was not included-that's what she was very specific about.
