Yesterday, I received an e-mail from Southwest on some special rates ... so I checked and found a $109 rate for my upcoming October trip to WDW. I think that is about what I paid on our last trip in June 2004 - so, I was happy with that. I will keep my eyes open for a better rate .... but at least I have something reasonable to start with!! As of yesterday morning, I was considering canceling my room reservations for fear that a decent airfare rate was not going to come through.

I can't load the "Ding" software on my computer at work as others have stated. So, I am relying on you nice people on the boards to "Ding" me!!!

Yes. The refund will show as a credit on your cancellation notice and you will need the reservation confirmation # from that to use the credited funds.

Thanks for the help. Actually it was even easier than that--I was able to change my reservation (cancelling and rebooking at the lower rate) all in one simple transaction! Plus, I was able to use the $115 savings on the flights home to justify adding yet another day to our trip (we were planning on adding one day, but had to add the second to get the cheaper fare).

I signed up about 2 weeks ago and I have yet to see anything from Salt lake city to MCO! I read that the past history has had dings from SLC. Still it is 4 hour drive to SLC, parking, etc. I rather just go from Idaho Falls or Jackson hole. But if it would really save $, that is why I signed up.
