Gotta love bounceback! 10th ann. & family vaca PTR-9/201o-WE'RE BACK!

This weekend I spent time planning our meals. :surfweb: It’s nearly time to make ADR’s so I really want to be sure that I am ready. Everyone In the family has given me their input so I have yet another draft. My sister and I are on Weight Watchers and committed to sticking with the program. This has caused me to change up some of our dining plan. :headache: We’re going to do more breakfasts at Roaring Forks so that the two of us can use snack credits instead of having huge meals at breakfast. Basically, that gives us more selections during the day. Part of me wants to say the heck with the dang diet while on vacation but I really, really need to drop this weight and to keep it off!

I’ve not included detailed touring plans below. Those will come later. Drives my family nuts but I need to have some sort of plan.

So, here goes………

:cool2:Arrival Day
• We’re still not sure who is traveling when so we plan to grab a meal at Roaring Forks when we get there. Right now flights are ridiculously expensive so we’re not sure what time we will travel.
• DHS if we have time for a park
• DTD for dinner at Earl of Sandwich
• We plan to check out the shops to get an idea of what we want to bring home with us.

pluto:Day 2
• Breakfast at BOMA. There is a chance that my sister and nephew will miss this depending on when they arrive.
• Animal Kingdom Day – The first flight out arrives at MCO around 9:30 so my sister and nephew can meet us at DAK if that is when they arrive
• Lunch at Flame Tree BBQ – This is my favorite BBQ and I am not missing it!
• Stay for Jammin’ Jungle
• Leave DAK after Jammin’ and go back to WL
• Dinner at Fulton’s – This is my sister’s favorite place to eat.

:darth:Day 3
• Breakfast Roaring Forks – In order to stick to our diets, I’m thinking fruit cups or yogurt, etc. for breakfast. Yeah, sounds boring, doesn’t it??
• DHS – Time to finally beat mom at TSMM! Ugh, she gets me every freaking time! Also want to see BatB since I missed it last year. Also want to see Block Party Bash.
• Lunch at Studio Catering
• Dinner will be at wherever we can get a Fantasmic package. I am hoping for Mama Melrose. Mom, Joe and I have eaten there before when we took the Backstage Magic Tour. Since the park hours for September are out – yeah, that is a pain in the butt getting to them right now -- I figured I'd pick my day for Fantasmic.

::MinnieMoDay 4
• Breakfast at Roaring Forks
• Boat to Magic Kingdom
• Lunch at Casey’s –yep, not the best for the diet but man, they make a good dog!
• Celebrate a Dream Parade is a must for me!
• Dinner at Ohanan’s. We have never done dinner there yet, just breakfast. We’ve done the luau though about three times so we thought we’d try Ohana’s this trip. I’ve been reading reviews and TR’s and it looks great. We can’t wait to give it a try
• Back to MK for Spectro and Wishes – I know that they are supposed to change Spectro but as of now, it is in the park calendar for September.

:tigger:Day 5
• Breakfast at Crystal Palace…early, early, early! I want to get park pictures before the official opening. It’s something we do every year.
• Magic Kingdom closes early this day which leads me to believe that there is a MNSSHP since so far, on this day of the week over the last few years, there has been one. If so, we’re going! Woo hoo!:woohoo:
• We will most likely take the boat back to WL mid-morning so that we can relax before MNSSHP. I still can’t seem to get DH to rent a scooter and he really, really needs one bad. He is going back to the back doctor and I am really hoping that the doctor can talk him into it because he has such a hard time doing the parks at times.
• I was thinking snacks for lunch and an early dinner at Whispering Canyon before heading to MNSSHP.pirate:

:donald:Day 6
• Breakfast Roaring Forks
• EPCOT – Future Word Day
• Lunch at Sunshine Seasons – Seems that they have something for everyone. We really enjoy eating here.
• Afternoon resort break
• Dinner at Kouzzina. We LOVE this place! We went there last September and loved it! Mom had it on her list for this year, so did I, so did Joe! Can’t wait.
• Back to EPCOT for Illuminations. I sure hope that the family wants to go back to the park. If not I know that I can talk my nephew into going with me!:rolleyes1

:tink:Day 7
• Breakfast at Akershus. I really wasn’t planning on going back here again for some time after last year, but the rest of the family wanted to go since half have not been there before. So, we’re going back. That said, even though it is the day after MNSSHP, I am going to try and get semi-early ressies so that can take pictures of the park when it’s empty. I’m not sure how that will go over with the family, but I am going to give it a try!
• We plan to do WS today – as much as we can see before it’s time to take a break. Both Joe and mom can’t do commando style touring any more.
• Lunch will be at Yorkshire Fish. Joe has always wanted to try that. Not sure where my sister and I will eat but I know one thing – diet or not – I am getting school bread!!! Maybe that will be my lunch??:rolleyes1
• Dinner will be at GF Café. One of my favorites. We went last year for the first time and LOVED it.
• I am planning a specialty cake for desert from the GF Bakery for our anniversary. Our anniversary isn’t until the following day but I think timing wise, this would be the best day for the cake. So far I know that I want a white almond cake, amaretto buttercream filling, amaretto buttercream frosting and possibly white fondant on top. Not sure though. I also want to put a design on the top of it – thanks Stefy for the suggestion. Still in the planning stages for the cake but that’s what I know so far.

:bride:Day 8 – Our 10th Wedding Anniversary
• Originally we had planned to renew our vows today but honestly, Disney Vow Renewals are incredibly expensive. We just couldn’t see spending that kind of money. I’m a bit sad about that but it’s the best decision to make.
• Breakfast will be at Kona. It’s a family favorite. I think it’s one of the best breakfasts on property. We love it.
• Joe wanted a relaxation day – no parks. Yes, I am a bit freaked but we’re gonna give it a try!:beach:
• I would like to schedule a PhotoPass session at WL for today. I was thinking around noon or so. It would give everyone (but me of course, because I won’t wear a bathing suit!) a chance to spend the morning swimming.
• Not scheduling lunch. We can just do whatever we feel like at the moment.
• Dinner will be at Yachtsman. Joe and I love it there. It’s been a couple of years since we’ve been there but we really want my brother to experience a meal there so this is where we decided to go.
• After an early dinner, Wishes Cruise! :sail:Yay! I am hoping to get it out of the GF. We’ll see what they have available when I call to schedule it. I am wondering though what happens if they have a MNSSHP tonight? In the past years, it’s been this night of this particular week. Does that mean that we get to see Hallowishes? Does that mean that they don’t do Cruises that night? Ugh, I can’t wait to call there and find out.

:mickeyjumDay 9
• Breakfast Roaring Forks
• Morning at Magic Kingdom
• Lunch at Sanaa – thanks AlohaPolynesian for the suggestion. I looked at the menu and it looks like a great place to eat. I am excited to give it a try.
• We’ll take a break at the resort in the afternoon and then head back to Magic Kingdom
• I’ve always wanted to try Diamond Horseshoe so I put it down for dinner today. Not an extensive menu but I’m determined to give new places a try this year.
• Spectro and Wishes are scheduled tonight. Again, not sure if it will be Spectro or the Electric Light Pageant but we’re gonna check it out.

:confused3Day 10
• This day will totally depend on my sister’s flight back home. She doesn’t want to take my nephew out of school for more than a week so she intends to fly back today.
• Breakfast at Roaring Forks
• EPCOT to finish whatever we missed on prior days
• Lunch at Sunshine again since the selection is so vast. I know one thing – never again will we go to the Electric Umbrella. OMG, it was disgusting the last time we went there. I had a veggie wrap and the entire time we were looking for a table Joe kept telling me he smelled “diaper.” Yeah, it was my veggie wrap! Eeeewwwwwww…………..
• Dinner will be at Maya Grille. Joe selected this based on last year. We stayed at CSR last year. While we were not impressed with the resort, we loved our meal at Maya so he wants to go back.
• We will finish the evening at DTD making our final purchases.

:mad::eek::sad2:Day 11 – Going Home
• This day pretty much depends on what time our flight home is. If it is early, we will grab breakfast at Earl of Sandwich and head to the airport. If it’s later, we will most likely go to Magic Kingdom. I love ending my trip at Magic Kingdom if we have the time. If we don’t have much park time we will probably go to DHS since it is so easy to get in and out of the park.

So, that’s it. That’s my newest draft. Comments? Suggestions? I would love to hear from you!!!

Everything looks great and your anniversary day looks pretty good. You guys are gonna have so much fun.

Loving the early breakfasts, sticking to the plan for early ressies, empty park pics :thumbsup2 and you are trying Sannaa too which is exciting as it looks like a great place for dinner :goodvibes

Its a shame about the vowal renewals, but the main thing is you guys are there together celebrating at the most magical/happiest place on earth :goodvibes

I see no tour plans in there, have you guys decided not to do one then?

All your ADR choices look good. I loved our breakfast at Boma our last day. I was so glad I switched it from 1900 Park Fair as we had been there already for dinner.

Mom and I enjoyed Sunshine Seasons as well. It was nice that since she was not very hungry she could just grab a bowl of soup while I could get what I wanted.

I hear on the craptastic Cleveland weather. I have purposely not gone anywhere this weekend. I might go and clean off my car later so I do not have to at 8am tomorrow.

Thanks Stefy. :flower3:

I really like the early breakfasts. It's so nice to be able to take empty park pictures.

I'm excited to try Sanaa. I really like the sounds of the menu. I always like to try new places each visit.

I'm happy to be able to be as Disney on our anniversary. There is no place I'd rather be. :cloud9:

I have not worked on touring plans yet. I am probably going to do basic plans that include things that we don't want to miss. I don't want to get too detailed since I know that Joe and my mom both need to take breaks during the day. Mom's asthma gets bad at times and she can't take the heat. I'll definitely start making "must see/do" lists for each park.

I love BOMA too. Diet or no diet, I want to eat there. :rolleyes1

I really like that about Sunshine Seasons. There are so many choices. There's something for everyone.

It's still snowing a bit here. I can't believe it. I wish it would stop already!!!

I'm strolling down memory lane again today. I left off at April 2007, which was my nephew's 10th birthday trip. He was awesome that trip. Whenever there was a long line he'd say "that's okay auntie...we can do this in September. I don't need to wait." It was great to take our time and do whatever he wanted for the weekend.

Our September 2007 trip was our 7th anniversary celebration. My niece came with us this trip too, which was nice. That doesn't happen often and we jumped at the chance to take her with us.

Joe and I stayed at the Dolphin. You just can't beat the rate there. You can use either AAA, your AP or the Entertainment Book. The rate was unreal...less than mom paid at CBR.

We had a lot of fun this trip. We dined at the Yachtsman this trip. I love the Yacht Club resort. It's so beautiful.

We did a lot this trip, including Dining with an Imagineer at the Brown Derby. It was awesome. The kids were a bit young now that I think back, but we had a great time. They gave us these beautiful plates as a keepsake. Craptastic picture of us with our Imagineer, but it is the only one that I have.

We had a great time that day at DHS.

Great pictures :thumbsup2 and how cool you dined with an Imagineer, what was that like?

Great pictures :thumbsup2 and how cool you dined with an Imagineer, what was that like?

Dining with an Imagineer was incredible. I wish we could do this again. Our Imagineer was so knowledgeable and was very informative. He answered every question asked. What was so cool was that one day after we dined with him I saw him on a Disney special on the Discovery Channel. :thumbsup2 I'd love to do this again.

We were in a private room. It was my family and another couple. Our Imagineer sat at the head of the table and just started to tell us what he does for Disney. Everyone started to ask a ton of questions and he answered them all. Since we had two kids with us, he was very careful with his responses. We all received an autographed menu and this very lovely plate, which he also signed for us. It was a great experience.

Sounds like alot of fun. Dave was talking about wanting to do it, maybe on our next trip, which will hopefully be our Disneymoon :)

Keep meaning to ask you, did you manage to get the maps printed out in the size you wanted?

I think you should def do Dining with an Imagineer. Perfect for a Disneymoon. It's really a lot of fun. :goodvibes

Nope, I never did get the maps printed in the size that I want them to be. It is on my list though of things to do!! :rolleyes1

Lol, I am sure you will get round to it soon :)

I am debating whether to cut out just the pic of the park, or keep the side descriptions of the rides, restaurants etc

I noticed last night that there are mini-park maps inside the booklet that comes with the planning CD. I spent the evening watching it. I liked this year's version. I could tell that some of the information was dated. Believe it or not, from the bags that people were carrying in the background. :rolleyes1

There is a cute story behind this one. There was a little girl and her dad watching the monkeys. The little girl looks at her dad and says "daddy look...the monkey has a fanny pack!" :lmao: The "fanny pack" was the the baby. Everyone started to chuckle while the dad explained that this was a baby.

Joe and I had dinner together at Todd English's Bluezoo. Instead of a desert menu, the waiter brought me this.

We spent some time at EPCOT too. The kids weren't so thrilled at the time but my nephew loves EPCOT now.

My husband told me this one today:

During a recent password audit at a company, it was found that a receptionist was using the following password: "MickeyMinniePlutoHueyLouieDeweyDonaldGoofySacramento" When asked why she had such a long password, she said she was told that it had to be at least 8 characters long and include at least one capital.

Oh gosh, well that doesn't help.

Did you sell lots in the end?

230 boxes altogether, split between both my girls.

I LOVE Girl Scout cookies. OMG, I miss them so!!! I am trying so hard to be good since I am in Weight Watchers. What I would do for a thin mint right now..........

I am allowing myself 3 a day. Let me tell you, its really hard! I can eat a whole box! My fave is the Samoas

We're not big wine drinkers either but I love the ice wine. I wonder if they sell it at the Canadian Pavilion at Epcot? I've never really looked for it at Disney before. :confused3

I know I've heard people talk about it on TRs. For some reason I thought they had it in Norway?

The dining choices are looking good. I really need to get on mine!

I swear I saw some updated park days listed. Must be seeing things.

Love the joke, v funny :)

Again, great pics. Love looking at other Disers photos :)

How gorgeous is that Tiara, is that from the Disney Florist? I think Joe needs to give Dave some pointers on the Disney Florist front ;)

Rebecca congrats on selling that many boxes :thumbsup2

I'm def going to look for ice wine this trip. I actually did not think of it before. :confused3

OMG, I love GS Cookies. It is so hard for me right now dieting and seeing them. :rolleyes1 Good job on selling that many boxes!!!

Next weekend I can finally make my ADR's. Yay! :yay: I can't wait to get that done. It is the most stressful part of planning if you ask me.

I thought the joke was cute!

Thanks for reading along and sharing my memories with me.

The Tiara was awesome. He did order that from the Disney Florist. I thought that if we were able to renew our vows that I would wear it then. I wish I could get Joe on the DIS....he has given me some awesome Disney gifts over the years and it could give a lot of men some great ideas. :lmao:
