:cool1: I've been in some serious Universal withdrawl, wanting desperately to start planning my next trip (summer 10), but knowing that the budget may not allow for a big vacation 2 summers in a row.

Well, in checking my spam mail, I came across an e-mail informing me I had won a contest. I remembered entering a contest by this company, but was a bit leary. I called the phone # & guess what ........ I won a Universal Orlando prize package.

Here's what I won:
3 Nights Stay for 4 at Loews Royal Pacific Resort
4 Two Park Length of Stay Passes
1 Breakfast for 4
1 Dinner for 4

We'll have to pay for a flight to Orlando, but that won't be a problem. Of course 3 days probably won't be enough, so since we'll have to get our money's worth out of the flight, I'm sure we'll tack on a few extra days.

:woohoo: Woo-hoo - let the planning begin!

That is so cool! I don't know if I've ever met anyone who won something this nice. :)

Can we help you plan? Where do you get to eat?

Wow! Awesome!!!

You bet ya!

Where do you get to eat?
I don't know yet, but my guess is that it will be at the RPR. They are sending me some official papers that I have to get notarized (showing that I qualify - correct age, etc). Once I get those completed they said they would send me the voucher from Universal.

I have never in my life won a prize like this, so I am on :cloud9:.

:dance3: Thanks to everyone for happy dancin' with me! You guys rock!!!

just as a word of caution: DON"T send them any money, or any account numbers or any personal information. The last thing I'd want to do is to rain on anyone's happy dance -- but there's a reason emails like that get tagged as spam. Be careful!

i would think they would have to give some personal info.
for tax purposes, at least their basic info and ss#

No worries about that. I'm very cautious about things like that & don't usually open this sort of e-mail, but I remembered I had entered a contest from the sponsor who sent the e-mail, so I went ahead & opened the e-mail & it was from the company through whom I knew I had entered a UO prize pack, so I called.
What company sponsored the contest?
Lifeway Christian - the contest was in the June issue of several magazines that they publish. I happened to see it in Parent Life (pg.27).

For anyone interested, they have another contest this month for a Williamsburg, VA vacation package
.

They are sending me documents via certified mail that I have to get notarized verifying my identity & that I meet the contest guidelines. These are the papers they will submit for tax purposes. Once I do that they will send me the voucher from Universal Orlando & I'll have up to a year to take my trip. I do not have to provide any credit card, bank info, etc. Just have to call Universal & set up my dates.

Whoa!!! That's awesome!!!

I won an inflatable Free Willy once. That's about the extent of my contest luck!
