Anyone use this website to work from home? I was thinking of trying it and wondered how well it worked.

I use logmein from my ipad to my main computer. Logmein was a one time purchase of about $30 in the app store and NO monthly fees.

I used gotomypc.com several years ago (before I had an iPad) and was pleased with the service other than the cost of it.

You can find other cheaper alternatives now-a-days.

Gotomypc works great. Citrix, the company behind gotomypc, sells the remote PC access programs many companies use for support and webinar solutions to large companies.

GoToMyPC is a great solution for people who want to turnkey solution. Most of the free (or cheap) alternatives aren't as easy to use.

The free version of logMeIn won't let you print locally. The pro version costs $70/year.

Most of the programs offer a free 30 day trial..

I used it for about 1.5 yrs and never had any issues with it. Now my company moved to a web-based Citrix log in password system and it has been easy to use also.

I also use it regularly for work. it is not the cheapest option out there, but we are all familar with it. I think the iPad app for Gotomypc works better than the one for logmein. -- Suzanne

It works great but we don't allow it here at our company as it doesn't have the same level of security we require.

Depending on where you work, make sure your company will allow it or see if they have a remote access system in place already.

I was sort of assuming the OP owned his business. I agree with the PP. A large company might have remote access capability. Likely to block (firewall) remote login programs.
