Just got this one this morning. Finally had a 40% code for the dates I needed and got it applied to my reservation right away. Hadn't seen this posted here before...

Yeah we really wanted this one this time too. We are treating my in-laws to a week long vacation at WDW and staying at the poly during spring break season. So with the two rooms we needed, I really wasn't thrilled about the rack rates we first had and was really hoping this would happen. Saved a huge chunk of change with it.

I also got the Peter Pan email with a pin, but mine was not for 40% off, it just said "for less than you think." I made a reservation since it covered the dates we wanted to go, but now I'm thinking I should cancel and wait for a 40% off code. I figure that they probably won't send me any more codes since they've already roped me into a reservation. What do you guys think?

I don't think they tie reservations into the PIN code logic. At least not very well if they do. We've had our poly reservations setup since just after the 2011 rates were released and still got this email.

I received a pin today, too... but it was for a room discount on a package purchase.

The e-mail starts off like this:

The e-mail wasn't clear on what the specific discount was, though. It provided an example of a 5 day/4 night stay at a Value with QSDP for $92/night, but no percentage discount was listed. After the PIN was provided it said to call and ask about "great rates at other Disney Resort hotels and for stays most nights 2/17/11–4/16/11 and 5/1/11–9/29/11."

I just called to see if there were any room-only discounts available as part of this PIN because we're AP holders looking to go March 6-13, 2011.

There was no room-only discount, but there was a significant package discount. I only had to buy a one-day base ticket (that I'm going to use toward AP renewal) on my 7-night stay.

Rack rate for the Polynesian for the 7 nights of our dates would come to $3718.15 plus tax, so approximately $4182.

The package I just booked with this PIN is 7 nights (Mar 6-13) in a Garden View at the Poly, plus a one-day base ticket, for $2779.64, including tax. So the PIN saved us just over $1400 over the rack rate, not including the two one-day tickets, which would have cost us an additional $174.

I was hoping for a 40% off PIN or AP discount, which would have brought the room-only rate down to $2509, including tax. But when you add in the tickets we needed to buy (our APs expire 2 days prior to our departure), we're less than $100 away the 40% off mark.

Now I can quit worrying about AP discounts and future PINs, etc!! Unless a 45% discount comes out, which I think is very highly unlikely for the 2nd week of March, we've pretty much got the best deal for us!

I got the Peter Pan Pin as well.
I called and priced out a package at the Poly and the BWI and it came out to a savings of 14.2%.
