Hi All,
My lovely husband decided to surprise me and said "lets go to Disney right before Thanksgiving!" I looked at him in shock as we have come a LONG way from the "I don't understand your love for WDW" to this. He got the why on his 1st trip a few years ago and 2 years ago we took our daughter for her 1st time and ever since he said we need to go back every 2 years.
Anyway when he said those words my heart jumped and then panic set in as I did the quick math and realized OMG I am way past the 180 day mark and quickly got on the computer to make the initial set of reservations. After all I had "mentally" planned this next trip but it wasn't suppose to happen until next year.
So the reason I am posting was I really had very limited reservation selections. Did my best to say this trip is for the memory and the eating and character meals are not the main part of THIS trip. So most of the reservations were done. Got what was acceptable in my eyes for dining and I turned to my daughter and told her the surprise and said What was your favorite restaurant when we went 2 years ago... she looked up and said "Mommy being in Cinderella's castle was a dream come true". I was like omg no way - I have to get a reservation there but how.
So for weeks I scouted hours and hours on the disney site looking for that reservation, BOG and Chef Mickey. Suddenly I saw a post of Disney Dining Buddy on FB. I said no way does that work. It is a scam. I can do it the old fashion way myself. Then I thought well it is only $8.00 per request let me do Chef Mickeys and The Castle. All- in 4 hrs I got a text abt Chef Mickeys. I wasn't fast enough but I was like this might work.
I am proud to say I just got notified on Cinderellas Castle AND Chef Mickey over the last 3 days and got it. You have to be on the spot with phone in hand as I missed Chef Mickey texts 4 times but it works.
Thought I would share. (I don't work or am affiliated with them- just have a love for Disney and thought another family can have a special dining experience)
