Got the good news, passports areon their way....only 9 more sleeps til DL

HI there, i had post in a while ago about our long wait for passports...we have been through it all with passport canada...twice they requested our files opened, once on aug. 24 and then again on aug. 29th...i called yesterday to be told they had to "locate" our files, and i was in tears...it was 9 days til our trip and 13 weeks since drop off...we are going with friends who did passports the same day, and did all the opening of files at the same time...she got the call hers were on the way...I got lucky, i spoke to someone many hours later who informed me 4 of ours were done now, but they couldnt find our fifth one anywhere...i knew immediately it was my youngest daughters, as hers was dropped off 2 days later(we had to redo her picture)....finally, i got the call, after searching all of western canada, hers was found in saskatchewan, while all of ours were in calgary..we will receive them on monday, only 14 long weeks from drop-off and only 4 short days before take off...YIKES, it has been scary, but hopefully this may help someone else....the whole system is a little messed, a friend mailed two 4 weeks after me and already received hers, and the only reason mine are coming is because the files were forced open...anyways, now i get to start packing and can get reallllllly excited about our trip..

i hear yah, we got ours the week that we were leaving back in Feb and we waited 11 weeks, and this was just when the rush started packing in. we did a drop off service at receiving agent. I DON"T recommend annyone do the receiving agent that has a trip planned. they are sent initially to Quebec and treated as a mail application. But both DD got theirs 4 days ahead.
My DH and i have to renew our that expires in Jan so we went to an actual office this past week, and told 15 working days for passports done at a PP officec.
