Now I just need to find out where we are going to use it. I have read some great posts with some suggestions of Columbia Harbor house, Starring rolls, Flame tree BBQ...Right now we have the quick service plan. I believe we are only planning on eating at a table service twice. Once at 'Ohana, once at 50s Prime for lunch. Quick service should be fine right? and for what I'll have to pay out of pocket for the other two wouldn't make up the difference to regular dining....correct?

I know everyone's opinions and likes/dislikes are different...but are there any places you would avoid at all costs? Any place that has never impressed you...

Congrats!!! :)

I would say that the two Table-service ressies OOP would definitely be cheaper than doing the regular DDP for your whole trip. Plus, Ohana and 50's aren't very expensive places, but they sure are yummy! :thumbsup2 We are on the regular DDP for our next two trips and we are going to Ohana on the August one and 50's on both! :yay:

As far as Counter-service restaurants go, I highly recommend the ones you have listed, with the addition of these:

Magic Kingdom: Cosmic Ray's (great selection) Pecos Bill (love that fixin's bar!) and Casey's Corner (you can't beat watching Dream Along with Mickey while you eat the best hot dog ever, right? :cloud9:)

Epcot: Sunshine Seasons (BEST selection anywhere) Tangierine Cafe in Morocco, and Lotus Blossom Cafe in China. I hear the Cantina in Mexico is great too, though I haven't been yet.

Hollywood Studios: Fairfax Fare and Toy Story Pizza Planet (AVOID ABC COMMISSARY!!!)

Animal Kingdom: Yak and Yeti (the CS) and Pizzafari (avoid Restaurantosaurus personally b/c the burger made me sick )

Hope this helps!! :thumbsup2

Happy planning! :goodvibes

HELPS??? OMG this more than helps, I just printed it to add to my vacation folder that is coming with us!! Thank you so much! I am trying to squeeze every ounce out of these 4 days. I am going to sit down and write a mock schedule to see how its all going to work out....hope all goes well! :woohoo:

Don't forget Wolf Gang Puck Express at DTD. This is an excellent choice for the QS dining plan.

Have a great trip.:cool1:

We've got the free qsdp for our May/June trip. I've been doing lots of menu reading to find some yummy places to eat. Here's some ideas-
Downtown Disney- Earl of Sandwich (great sandwiches) and Wolfgang Puck Express (really good table service quality food).
Hotels- Coronado Springs Resort (amazing deals for CS! can you say steak :worship: we're planning a couple of meals here, will have a car). Captain Cooks at the Poly has a great looking menu too.
Magic Kingdom- Columbia Harbour House(great food!), Cosmic Rays (ribs and chicken yum!)
Animal Kingdom- Flame Tree (ribs again!)
Hollywood Studios- we're creatures of habit here, lunch is always at Pizza Planet
Epcot- SO many choices! Our favorite is Tangeriene Cafe, the lamb is *amazing! You get so much food too. Fish and chips in the UK is another good choice. We also love the mexican counter service :thumbsup2

Places to avoid...honestly I can't think of any. I think everyone should at least try each place, tastes are so different, you know?

We're planning 2 meals out of pocket, Le Cellier lunch and Kona dinner. I'm really looking forward to not having a dining schedule this trip. It'll be nice to just eat on a whim, when the mood strikes ;)

Thanks for the tips! :thumbsup2I'm adding this to my folder as well! Coronado Springs really has steak as counter service? My bf will be happy with this! and we are only planning two TS meals as well. Dinner at 'Ohana and lunch at 50s Prime(because I remember going when I was 6, and I remember thinking it was pretty cool!)

We got free dining too and I'm thrilled. Last year we had QSDP and one of our favorites was at POR. They have a build your own pasta that was super yummy. Very nice food court. We love CSR and their food court too. DH loves the steak also!
