Got the Coach online sale email!

For the outlet shops... I bought some things for DD... kept the tags on and receipts in the bag. One item was "lost" for some time in the house (or I thought I might have returned them) well found it and it was over a year from purchase. Brought it back to outlet with cc in hand. They didn't even bat an eye... credit put back on card. Give them a call just in case but I'm sure you won't have a problem. It's better to have the credit back than have something sitting in closet.
Good luck

I didn't get the email yet!?!?!? I got the one yesterday telling me to watch for one today but nothing yet.

Ironic... since ad emails are mostly about sales. Also, every solicitation email you receive has an 'unsubscribe' button at the bottom.

I do. I have so many ad mails I don't always pay attention to them. I am alerted to alot of good sales from this board. I'm going to check my email right now to see if I got this sale :thumbsup2 . Thanks OP!

I was just looking at all the bags....I can not make up my mind!!! I do need a new summer bag but I have 5 in my shopping cart along with three wallets and two pairs of shoes...now to decide.

Do people check disboards before checking email? Interesting. Nice to think of your mom.

Sure, why not ? I don't get a lot of emails , mostly just sales ads . I can go days without checking , if I am not in the mood to do some shopping.

Didn't see anything that jumped out at me for my Mom.

Happy purse shopping ladies.

You're assuming she doesn't want to see those ads. I like to get them but I don't always pay attention the day they arrive in my box. Why does it bother you so much that I posted it here? :confused3

So, for those who don't mind talking about it:goodvibes ... if a strap has a 24" drop does that mean it's a total of 24" long? Or it's 48" long? The fact that some descriptions refer to "drop" and some refer to "strap length" is confusing me!

I am a Louis Vuitton fan but constantly get Coach emails and postcards....I am going to look thru my spam folder if one is there and transferrable anyone may have it.

i like them tracy! i don't always check my emails or may have missed it, so thanks! :)))

Well... she did say she doesn't check her email because their are mostly ads. That would certainly indicate unimportance at the very least. I do find it odd that people who are already on the computer surfing the web wouldn't automatically check email... just an observation. Is it a sign of the impending decline of society as a whole? Who knows ;)

You're assuming I'm annoyed. I do find it ironic that a board centered around saving money is populated with spenders looking for the next item to which they can surrender their impulse control in what (in some cases) appears to be a neverending battle. :lmao: To that end, you have performed a valuable service!

Now... if I didn't have 2 Coach outlets within a few miles of me, or fly to destinations with outlets once or twice a week, it might indeed be annoying.

I know more than one person who has an alternate email address for things such as this that they don't check as often as their main address. And there are people like me who will skim their messages, save ads that are potentially interesting, and then read them when they have time. If you consider this a sign of the impending decline of society, go with that.

You're assuming I'm annoyed.

Well, let's just say the tone of your posts is "annoyed." Perhaps you did not mean them to sound that way. But when someone posts a thread on a topic that has been discussed here before without complaint, and says basically "why did you post this here," one does tend to sound annoyed that the post even exists.

I do find it ironic that a board centered around saving money is populated with spenders looking for the next item to which they can surrender their impulse control in what (in some cases) appears to be a neverending battle. :lmao: To that end, you have performed a valuable service!

Does "budget" always mean "spend the minimum amount of money?" I thought it meant "plan your spending." Because I notice you aren't posting this same message when people mention other sales on other items that cost money. Why aren't you up in arms about posts regarding the Great Wolf Lodge, Keurig machines, Wii games, etc.? Why is it only this thread that apparently encourages others to surrender their impulse control? And why would you assume that everyone who buys a bag is failing at "impulse control?" Is it really not possible that people plan for these things and wait for a sale? :confused3

Also, if someone wants a Coach bag, and wants to spend less money... hmm... I wonder if a factory outlet sale would be a good way to accomplish that? What do you think? :teacher:

Now... if I didn't have 2 Coach outlets within a few miles of me, or fly to destinations with outlets once or twice a week, it might indeed be annoying.

Okay. The information was unnecessary for YOU and therefore you found it unnecessary to be here. Thanks for clarifying.

Darn I didn't get the email. ;) It is all good since I think I'm going to go to the outlet store up the road myself (but that doesn't stop me from being on the lookout for good online shopping when I don't have time).

But here's the deal, pirategirl, since you find it so interesting. I'm here on the disboards already, planning my summer trip to Disneyland. I check my email daily, if not more often, as I have a smart phone, but I don't open every email from every sender, as I am busy and many are just announcements of a new product, etc.. I skim them over and can easily miss something. Reading the dis is much more fun than tirelessly opening each and every email from each and every sale source I get them from.

I definitely know how to unsubscribe to an email, and I would think most people who are big enough researchers to be on the dis budget board in the first place would also know, but thanks  ???

But anyway, I'm glad this whole thread can be so interesting and "ironic" to someone. We are all here for a combination of gathering information and having a few laughs (sometimes at other's expense, we all realize that I think) but that's OK. I don't mind being a source of entertainment as well as information. Hopefully we help others along the way, and I think that's my favorite part of this site (the helping and being helped). In fact I love it  .

me too! I ignore most of the ads because they are slow loading and Im not driving 2 hours to the outlet near me.
So thank you op for the heads up. I checked and did not get the email, although I signed up the last sale.
Today I checked a different email account and the Coach link email was in that 1!!

Did anyone get anything good? Im considering shoes.

Do they add new items during the sale?

If it were not for these boards, I would not be aware that Coach Factory offered items online. I would have thought it was a scam because that is not something Coach has offered in the past.

How do I subscribe for these emails? What is the website?

Here you go:

Note that it does say you're just signing up for a chance to be invited to future events.

And below is a link to the current sale page so those of us who didn't get an invite can see what we're missing, or realize that we're not really missing anything, whichever the case may be. ;)

Usually the drop is if you measured a straight line from the top of the handle curve, to the bottom of the handle. Often bags have a 9 or 10 inch drop. These are the satchel-type that you could possibly fit over your shoulder, but more likely, carry them like a lunchbag.

FWIW, I get emails all the time for 30% off on a weekend at the outlet, but have never gotten the online shopping one. I want one of those babies!!!

Cats Mom, thanks!!! :) I did sign up for future events, so hopefully I can get in next time!!

In the past I have been able to order on the phone without having gotten the invitation email. Its definitely a YMMV situation but if you see a bag you want it may be worth a try.
