Got stuck on thunder Mountain and had to be walked off!!!

Anyone at MK this past Sat morning??? Were were on TM and it stops going up the second hill! After about 15 minutes, they decided to walk us off. Very interesting, but I don't like seeing the behind the scenes stuff....

That happened to us back in December on Splash Mountain. It was our 4 year old's first time too! I think she was happy not to have to do the final fall though!

Of course, we saw people who were walked off the ride complaining to CM's to get some kind of compensation!

That happened to us last December! I agree about walking behind the scenes and under the ride - no Disney magic!!!

That's terrible that someone would expect compensation for that inconvience. Maybe a fastpass or two for another ride would be nice, but that's it. My husband hurt himself on Jurrasic Park at Islands of Adventure a couple of years ago (probably broke a rib)and didn't say anything to anybody. He probably should have informed them for the records, but we were sure not going to expect something from them. I don't like the sue-happy mentality!

Susy - We were in the gates waiting for the next train when they announced that they were having technical difficulties and were shutting down the ride. We were invited to wait until the ride was back up but decided to bail (along with everyone else in line)after we realized that they were evacuating the occupied trains.

I guess you were one of the evacuees.

Whatever it was must have been easily rectified because the ride was back up within 30 minutes.

Last month we got "stuck" on Dinosaur for about 10 minutes and then it started back up, but the speed was very slow. When it came time to get off the CMs told us we could stay on for another ride through.

I hate when that happens - we got stuck on HM last week for a little over 5 minutes and I felt bad because it was our friends first time on it so that kind of ruined the experience a bit for them.

We got stuck on ToT last year. It was actually a pretty fun experience - and the other side was still operating, so we were walked off, went down the chicken elevator - and for those of us who wanted to (all but one), we were put right in order to get on the next elevator. We all insisted that we stay in the same seat!
It was a lot of laughs, but it was a little disappointing to lose some of the magic behind one of our fav rides!

For once it wasnt me! I wasnt even in the state, so dont look at me.

We've been stuck on Test Track, twice. The second time our preschooler wet his pants during the 20 minute wait on the ride.

I was next in line when Space mountain broke down, got to ride the test run with the lights on (very very scary, who knew).

And I was stuck at the top of the matterhorn in DL and had to be walked down half way, then taken into the mountain to ride the elevator the rest of the way.

But this time it wasnt me.......

We had Dinosaur break down on us last week. We were sitting enjoying the ride when, WOOSH!, all the lights come on and we are sitting in a big black warehouse with a lot of fake plants. A voice comes on saying that there is a technical difficulty with our time travelling spaceship and we sit there for 10 minutes. So my 13 year old son starts telling blonde jokes to the blonde behind us and........well you get the idea.

We got stuck on MISSION:Space last October. We had just gotten through the lift-off when it all went black and stopped. It was not long before they got us off and gave us Fast Passes to return at any time during the day. Apparently only our centrifuge thing was broken down, and the other colors were still operational. Luckily, we had already done the ride earlier in our vacation and knew it was awesome enough to go back!!


As we were walking off, my sister was so mad though - I was dragging her on for the second time, and she definitely thinks the lift-off is the worst. She was so proud to have gotten through it for the second time, and then we had to get off. Imagine her dismay when she realized I was going to be forcing her on again!!

We DID get compensated. As we walked off we were handed a pass that allowed us into the FP lane at any time. We were back on the ride in no time!
