Got Standard View at BWV at 7 Month Mark!

Hi.

I'm so excited. I was able to book BWV in a standard view studio for four nights in February. I wanted to save some points and try out the BWV as we have never stayed there. I don't know how warm it will be, but it will have to be better than Indiana in February!

You really can't predict. We were at BWV the last week of January this year and the high temperature for all five days was in the 82 to 84 range. And it also beats January in New York!!

Is it odd to get whaht you want at the 7 month window? or just at BWV?
We will be there from 2-14-03 til 2-21-03.
It will be our 1st DVC trip. I booked @ 2 bdr at BCV last month, as soon as we closed and I got my member number, but, I just booked a studio at OKW yesterday for the 1st 2 nights. Should I have been worried about getting the reservation at the 7 month window?

I have booked at BWV two times, both at the 7 month window, both for a standard view. Once was the week of The 4th of July and one was in August. I guess I just had two lucky days then because I got exactly what I needed and it was wonderful. Have a great trip!

Congratulations. I would not have expected a standard view at seven months. Glad you were able to get one!

I also just booked a one-bedroom standard view at BWV for MLK week in January. However the first night (Sunday) I could only get a preferred view (waitlisted) but no problem with standard view Monday thru Friday.

What are my odds of the Sunday waitlist coming thru on MLK weekend?

Glad to hear you were able to get the standard view reservation you wanted! Don't give up hope on your single day wait list..you never know! The wait list has always come through for us, once while we were actually at WDW and thought we were going to have to move from a 2 to 1 bedroom half way through our stay!

Original upcoming 12/7 - 16 reservations at OKW. I made them later than normal (I think at 9 month mark) so I also waitlisted for BWV / Standard view only. The wait list came through - all days, shortly after 7 month mark, which was also shortly after BCV's beginning to accept reservations...so I think a lot of folks are just trying out the new resort, which is freeing up the usually hard reservations. I never expected to get the standard view, and was quite happy with OKW if a standard view didn't become available, as we don't find the extra points for a perferred view to be worth the investment.
