I have been calling right when they open and just before closing every day since the AP codes came out. I originally booked Woods View because when I called at 7 sharp the day AP discounts came out, they said they weren't offering standard view at all. So don't give up if they say your preference isn't available. Saved me another $25 per night. Paying $175 plus ta:banana: x. Yah, I don't have to use the charge card (rates are higher than I expected this year so I was over budget with a woods view)

If you include your dates it will help others if they are planning around the same time as you

Today I got the AP rate for Wilderness Lodge, courtyard view for $225, for January 21-27. Basically it's $50 off the rack rate price. I was worried about the weekend days being higher, but when I called, all nights were $225. I am happy - not the hugest discount I ever got, but it helps a lot! :)

Sorry, My dates are Jan. 30th-Feb. 6.

Oh that's so nice to know. I have the same dates as you, but when I called a couple of days ago, they only had courtyard view for more than I was already paying for my woods view with AAA discount. I'm calling again tomorrow morning.

Yes, keep trying! I called 11/1 7 am and was told only woods and courtyard. The next day they said only couryard. I finally got it the 3rd day. I used the making changes to your reservation prompt and then told them I had the AP discount for a woods but really couldn't afford it and I was checking to see if any standard rooms had been released for AP discounts. I couldn't believe it when she said yes. I of course said "I'll take it!" Hope you what your looking for. Keep us all informed and I'll be sending good vibes your way.:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I guess I shouldn't be too upset then. I needed Friday, Jan. 25 only as it was the night before our cruise. Through AAA I got a standard view for $192 + tax = $215.

That seemed really high, as I'm used to renting weekday points through DVC at BCV. With what everyone else says on here, I guess I should be happy?!

Did you check the price of the WL Villas for a studio? The villas have the best AP price right now. It's about 47% off. Someone got a AKL studio standard for $129, and SSR and OWK are $149. I didn't realize that ALL villas are discounted. The WLV studio is $179 a night at the AP rate.

Yes, I did look at this option. We don't have AP, so that option's out. Renting DVC points gets us to $220, as we need a Friday night when the points rates are nearly double. I'd be ok with one of the other resorts, but BF fell in LOVE with this one when we watched "Great Hotels" one weekend. Her home is decorated in "mission" style, so this is a perfect fit for her.

I'd choose the Studio if we were staying more than one night & needed the kitchenette. However, I'm sure BF will want in regular WL for inside access to restaurant, lobby, gift shop, etc. Not sure if that makes sense, but that's what I am guessing. This is her Christmas surprise!

I called both yesterday and today for the AP discount availability for studios at VWL and SSR for 4 n. over MLK weekend. There were none left - they had a 1 bedroom avail. at SSR and studios avail. at OKW ($670 with tax for 4 n. if anybody's interested in OKW - that's actually a sweet deal)!!

We already have a DVC cash ressie for VWL which is 25% off rack rate but I was really hoping we could beat it with an AP discount. The AP rate at OKW would be about $400 cheaper than our DVC rate in the VWL studio but we just stayed at OKW in Aug. and want to try something different. (We actually weren't that impressed with the property.) Just for curiosity I priced an AP rate for a Garden view at the Poly - over $1,500 for 4 n.! :rotfl: I guess we'll be keeping our studio at WL! I did not check for AKV or AKL - we have a DVC ressie for a studio there in July and I really want to stay at a diff. property each time we go.

BTW - they're having a Pirate & Princess party on Jan. 21 (MLK day)! Bought our tickets yesterday - the AP discount thru 12/15 is $31.90 with tax! After 12/15 they go up to like $46!!

I tried again today and was told it would raise my cost by about $70, so I guess I'm sticking with my AAA rate.

DW and I will be at the WL Jan. 30 to Feb. 5 in a woods view room. We got the AP rate for the room.

If your weather this week is going to be anything like ours, you'll be wishing we were all going sooner! We are expecting 12+ inches of snow tomorrow night. That after an afternoon of rain. Winter, gotta luv it!

That doesn't sound right if it was for a standard. We had AAA for a standard before we switched it to AP and AAA on standard was $191.25 per night plus tax. AP standard was $175. plus tax per night. It should have been $16.25 plus the tax cheaper per night.:confused:Woodsview was $200+ tax with AP.

I have a woods view right now with AAA discount for $212.50 plus tax. I would like to stick with that view since it's my first and only trip to WDW, but I do want a good rate too. I was noticing that the AP rate can also apply to some of the DVC villas. Any chance that WL would be on that list, or is it just the ones that are on the info. It seems like sometimes they'll state only a few hotels, but if you call, others are on the list. When I called last time, they quoted me a courtyard view with AP for $225, so maybe that's what they were quoting me again, I really should have asked but I was a bit sidetracked with my kids at the time.

It is a little confusing because woodsview without tax is $200 and with tax is $225. So if they quote you a price, ask them if that is with or without tax. If only courtyard is available, keep trying. There is a good chance a woodsview will open up at AP pricing. As I said, it took 3 days for an AP to come up for standard room. It may not be a huge difference from AAA but approx. $14. less per day adds up (especially for the same room category).:thumbsup2

Well, I keep on trying, but not very well. Today I called and asked about a different code, which I was told would take my price down, but I had to have my AP right now or he wouldn't do the code. I had made my CSR AP discount without actually having the AP in hand yet, but I couldn't this time. So I went out to my Disney Store to buy one, and they didn't have it. I bought it online, went back to call, and they didn't have the woods view again, just courtyard for $100 more for the whole stay. Sigh.

I just booked WL Standard View with an AP rate for January 23 - 27, 2008. $175.00 per night! Make sure that you call versus making your reservation on line. I had checked the Passholder Site on 10/31 and the rates were different with the Passholder Room Only Offer. On the Passholder Site they had Wednesday & Thursday Night @ $175.00 and Friday & Saturday @ $225.00. When I called today I was quoted $175.00 for all four nights.
