got some 2009 rates

Did you try online yet? I know that the site is still working out some bumps but I am pretty sure if you give it a try now you should get the rates. What are you trying for??

Sorry, I was looking for codes and subscribed here by mistake.

We booked:

2 Adults, 1 Jr (counts as adult on dining and tickets), 1 Ch
7 nights WL STD room
8 Day Park Hoppers
Regular Dining Plan

Nov 18 - Nov 25, 2009

Approximately $4,300

Let the countdown begin!! :)

OK, here goes, please help me think that this is good because I am struggling with sticker shock. Last summer we stayed @ WL with this same package for the same amount of time for about $3200.

Is the higher cost mostly associated with Peak dates in March or is the BWI that much more expensive.

March 2009

Package - MYW plus standard dining with hopper on park tix. (2 adults and 2 children (4) (10) - I know the 10 year old was considered an adult:rolleyes: ).

BWI standard room for 6 nights.

Dining plan for 7 days

Park tix with hopper for 7 days.

$5,031.15 (tax included) :scared1:

What do you all think?

Follow up prices from my previous post. Same package as above at these resorts:

Beach Club resort $5031.15
Caribbean Beach water view $3433.63
Port Orleans $3433.63
The Cabins $4350.53

To me BWI or BC is not THAT much better. Looks like we are changing plans.

I think its the difference in Peak rate but factoring all the little hikes park ticket and dining plan sure didn't help. The discounts for March if I recall correctly came out in October. So you can always book and then have discounts applied in October.

Happy Planning!

Yikes! That is awfully high. We usually stay at deluxe resorts because we spend a lot of time at the hotel. We may stay in March, but I'm not willing to fork over that kind of meney. We may do a value or moderate.

Well we had a meeting around the "Princess Table" after I got a few more quotes and it looks like CSR is the winner.

Package: $3646.71 with a water view 6 nights - 7 day dining plan and hopper tix.

Thanks to Buzz2001 for a spectacular thread with great pics and info that helped us with our decision.

Hopefully we can get a code within the next 6 months to help out even more. Even so, much more pleased with this price.:woohoo:

Dreamin'Dad,
You made a good choice. Have you read about the new changes to CSR? They will have queen size beds and new furniture with flat screen t.v.s next year!

Yes, I caught wind of that investigating the CSR. Looks like they will start in October and it will take a year to complete. So by March they should be half way through. Will for sure be making special requests via email, phone and fax to try and ensure a renovated room with queen beds!

Are you planning to go in March? We will be there starting on the 7th.

Sounds like a great plan! Now ADR straegy while you wait for codes Do you have AAA??

Fidge - no AAA, have not had that in over 20 years. Sure seems to help plenty out here.

Actual cost of our stay was booked @ Total $ 3433.63.

The original quote had water parks - little too cold in March for that. So we booked today!

Time for this

Congrats on your booking wooohoooo!:cool1: Actually in March one year we went it was hotter than when we go in April?? A month after have a great time and you can always look into the AAA deal. It cost us 45 dollars and we normally save average of 200+. Now years before the savings was huge.

My DH loves those parking pass not sure exactly why but it lights his world on fire. You can always add the discount or have AAA convert your reservation. I have done that myself in the past, just gave agent the ressie# after they confirm AAA availabilty.

Have a great time and happy planning!

Forgot to add keep your eye out in October and January for discounts and here's hoping. Have you checked out the historical discounts and their release dates??

We are staying at the POFQ from 4/8-4/17 and we could not get a package deal with AAA. They were actually a little higher than Disney's rate.:confused3
We are paying for 9 nights standard room, 8 day ticket w/ DDP for 2A, 1C (no hopper pass this time and it saved us $125. I will just have to plan more carefully) for $3598.

Oh well.... we saved our Stim.Rebate and using our Disney rewards... so hopefully the airline tickets won't be too high. I just need some pixie dust when SWA releases the dates for April. Otherwise DH might want to stay off site:eek:

Just booked a standard view room at the WL from Jan 27th through the 31st with a AAA room only rate of $229.50 inc. taxes per night.
