Got PORFQ! Any Tips for Staying There?

I am SO excited we got 3 rooms at PORFQ with the email discount! The savings was $1,175 over the regular rate for the 3 rooms! I'm still pinching myself, because I still can't quite believe it!

Anyway, I requested building 2 or 5 and a ground floor room. Anyone know our chances or getting what I requested? Are they pretty good about that?

Also wondering about bus service during the time we are there, December 5th-11th...will the buses be pretty frequent? And the boat to Downtown Disney....how often does that run?

I'm also wondering how far it is to PO Riverside. Is it an easy walk? Is it a pain to go over to their pool? I hear the slide is bigger at Riverside and I think the two older kids will like it better than the dragon at FQ.

I'd love to hear about any FQ reports or tips. I had to decide between POFQ and CBR and I'm hoping I made the right choice going with POFQ.

We'll be at POFQ the exact dates you will!!!! We have 2 rooms but no e-mail . We stayed here in 1999 and LOVED it. We've also stayed at POR, AKL savannah view, and my brother stayed at Coronado springs. We liked POFQ better than all the others. It is very small and quick walk to anything from anywhere- buildings 7 and 1 have the farthest walk. The buses were excellent when we were there- but that was a while ago. We didn't make requests then so don't know about that one either. Some friends of our stayed at CBR last year and did not like it b/c it was so spread out- so I think you made the right choice!

Wow! The same dates?! We probably will see you there!

Have you ever been there during that week before? I'm REALLY hoping the kids will be able to use the pool, but from what I've heard the weather will be pretty iffy.

There is 10 of us going, but the kids are 2 girls 9 and 5 and a little one just turning 2. How about you?
