I only have fifty days before I need to make my dining reservations. I guess I better start giving it all some serious thought.

Food is a huge part of our Disney vacations -- even Charles likes to get involved with the choices, sometimes to my chagrin. We look forward to our Disney meals all year long, so it has been really hard this time not being able to make our ADRs until 90 days out. Doesn't Disney know it's killing me to wait until March???

Here is what we have so far:

June 6: This is our arrival day. We will probably head to the Magic Kingdom and eat counter service. Maybe Columbia Harbor House?

June 7: Cape May Cafe breakfast. I am really looking forward to just heading downstairs from our room.

June 8: Rose and Crown for dinner. The fish looks really good and I want to order a Welsh Dragon to drink.

June 9: This is the day that Charles and I want for our date night. We haven't quite decided between Yachtsman Steakhouse and Flying Fish.

June 10: Crystal Palace for breakfast -- hopefully before park opening.

June 11: Beaches and Cream as soon as it opens.

June 12: Teppan Edo. We ate there on our last night of vacation last year and had so much fun. I think it will make another great way to end our trip. If it has to end.

June 13: I may make an early ADR for Tusker House on our departure day or I may switch things around and do Tusker House Sunday morning and Cape May Cafe this day. I am just not sure yet.

We may add or change things around before March 8. There are so many places not on our list that I would like to try, but just can't seem to fit them all in.

Wow! 14 in Georgia!! I just checked online and it says it's 3 degrees here!! Too cold for Maryland. I know what you mean about not wanting to go anywhere. Brrrrrrrrrrr.

I was at the dentist with the boys the other day and I said Connor's name and this little boy looked at me. Turns out he was a Connor (or Conner ) too. That happens to us a lot.

On one of our Epcot days last year, there was an Irish family that seemed to be touring in the same pattern -- they had a Connor and every single time the dad yelled for him, my Connor would jump and look around. He never got used to it.

It's always very weird for me when I hear someone else with my name, but it doesn't happen often.

We live between D.C. and Baltimore, although much closer to Baltimore. It's only about a 30 minute drive to D.C. from us (if traffic is good). It looks like today is suppose to be the last really cold day and warm up a bit tomorrow. There is a chance of snow for the next 3 days (haven't really had any this year).

Great plans, Jackie!! I am also eyeing the Welsh Dragon at R&C! You'll have to tell me how it is.

I also love that you have a fun last night tradition. Great idea to ease the "pain." I haven't tried Teppan Edo but from what I see in other reviews it looks like so much fun!

Hurrah for date night. I don't think you could go wrong with either of your options.

Beaches and Cream... I seem to have "misplaced" the cloud nine smiley but you get the idea. I am now craving a cheeseburger at 9am. Not a good sign for the day!!

4 months and 20 days... it's really flying by. Seriously!

I thought about doing Cape May breakfast just so I could check out the Boardwalk. I really want to get over there at some point as the pictures look stunning.

Chuck wanted to try Teppan Edo, but his first choice was Le Cellier. I'm just not sure my super fussy kids would eat much at Teppan Edo. I've never actually been to a Japanese Steakhouse, but it looks like fun!

I'll take lots of pictures of our breakfast at Tusker House for you.

Looks yummo! Columbia Harbor House is my husband's favorite. I am sure we will be eating there. I have never ate breakfast at Cape May, cannot wait to hear what you think of that ... I have heard great things though and it will be awesome to just walk down to it! Beaches and Cream--- for ice cream or real food? Tusker House is so tempting with Daisy being there...

Rose and Crown seems to be a great location will you try a late reservation for Illuminations?

I sure hope you do Crystal Palace for an early ADR---- we are going to try to get one too, I regretted not eating there last time and want some empty park pics!

I hope you get Crystal Palace before park opening, too. That would give you some great photo opportunities. We're going to try for the same one day this summer.

As much as it would be tempting to do Cape May on departure morning, so you'd just be able to do your packing and then go downstairs to eat, I would be wanting to go into a park to squeeze out just a little bit more Disney magic before I left for good. We like to run back through Fantasyland or go on one last safari or go soar one last time before we trudge slowly out of a park for the last time.

You'd have to stay for weeks to get everything in. We just have to make our long list of all the Disney restaurants - table service, counter service, resorts, and DTD - and then start chipping away at them a few at a time. It'll take a lot of trips to get them all in, so I guess we just have to keep booking those trips!

Those all sound really good, so lucky that you get to just walk downstairs to Cape May and basically to Beaches and Cream too. I know what you mean by trying to fit in so many different restaurants and not being able to do them all. THere are just so many to try and its hard to decide which ones!

I think its a good idea to make an early ADR for your departure day. I'm going to do that for us so we have the option to do it if we decide we want to.

I have been reading some great reviews of CHH. I think it's on our CS list for May.

June 8: Rose and Crown for dinner. The fish looks really good and I want to order a Welsh Dragon to drink.

I think the sound of "I'll have a Welsh Dragon, Governor," in the perfect English accent is how you should order it. I am 98% sure that Chelsea would help you practice.

June 9: This is the day that Charles and I want for our date night. We haven't quite decided between Yachtsman Steakhouse and Flying Fish.

I don't think you could go wrong with either of those. They both sound amazing and I have heard amazing things about both of them.

June 10: Crystal Palace for breakfast -- hopefully before park opening.

I am so very excited it's almost time to make our ADR's!! It seems like it's taken forever for 90 days to get here.

I didn't even know there was a drink called a Welsh Dragon, I think that's so cool!

As for Flying Fish or Yachtsmen, I've been to both, and both are excellent. I guess you just need to figure out what kind of a feel you want to your date night. Yachtsmen has excellent steak and is a more subdued atmosphere, whereas I always found Flying Fish to be hoppin' with activity. Neither good or bad, just depends on what kind of a mood you're in! Of course both have great food, so that doesn't help at all.

Isn't Connor/Conner such a great name?

We are staying offsite in our timeshare. We just got back in October and did a split stay at the YC and allstar sports with free dining. We weren't planning on going back for at least another year but somehow we are going again but on a PB&J budget.

I love the name Conner! Mine is 6.

Dawn had Welsh Dragon on her trip and ever since I have wanted one! She and Ray also ate at Rose and Crown and that basket of fish and chips looked so yummy!

I don't think there is any easing of the pain of leaving at WDW but Teppan Edo helps take the edge off.

Beaches and Cream is definitely one that I am looking forward to doing!

I think your boys would like Teppan Edo (for a future trip) -- the meat was out of this world -- Connor had chicken (he is one of the pickiest eaters ever) and Chelsea had shrimp and steak. My mouth is watering just thinking about it again.

We ate at Tusker House in June last year and really enjoyed it. It was nice getting into the park early, too.

We have never eated at Cape May before either so I am looking forward to it. Meeting Daisy at Tusker House was very neat. I hear so many great things about CHH that I just know we need to eat there.

Probably not -- we tend to be early eaters so I think if I made my family wait until nine there would be a mutiny.

I choose restaurants based on the desserts as much as the entrees. The sticky toffee pudding thing looks really good at Rose and Crown, and Beaches and Cream speaks for itself.

We went before park opening at Christmas in 2004 and got the best pictures. I want to do that again. I am already even planning what I want to take photos off.

That's a good point -- if we have an ADR at a park we will be more likely to actually go instead of just hitting the road.

We love Columbia Harbour House too! We are trying Rose & Crown for the first time this trip. Crystal Palace....love having breakfast there. If you call on the first day that your window opens you should have no problem getting a ressie before the park opens.

We have the hardest time deciding. It takes us many Saturday mornings of looking through allears menus to narrow down our choices.

I am hoping it will spur us to go to a park -- most of the time we just hit the road and this year I want to get in some last minute fun.

I am just so not a steak person so I like the variety on the Flying Fish menu. It will also put us over on the Boardwalk side which would work perfectly with our plans.

We love Columbia Harbour House too! We are trying Rose & Crown for the first time this trip. Crystal Palace....love having breakfast there. If you call on the first day that your window opens you should have no problem getting a ressie before the park opens.

The one time we tried to eat there it closed at five and it was just about five, so we headed to Pecos which is our ol' stand-by.

I am trying to decide what time for Crystal Palace -- maybe 8:15 or 8:30?
