Got Pixie Dust? A June 2009 PTR ~TR Link, Page 180

My goodness Nala is getting big!! :goodvibes

Love the soap from basin. I've never been in there. I'm not a bar soap kind of person, but it almost makes me want to buy some just to look at! :rotfl:

The pictures of the kids cracked me up. Try adding a third one into the mix and the fighting gets even worse! :sad2:

Woohoo for 30 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dancer: :dancer: :dancer:

Tell Chelsea I sympathize with her and it is just part of having an annoying little brother. Tell her to be grateful she only has Connor I had Trent and Drew.

That Mickey soap is the cutest! I want some...it puts my pilfered Mickey soap from Disney hotels to shame. :rotfl: I love your countdown calendar. And I have had many a skirmish with my siblings that have had the EXACT same results. We would have them over the advent calendar at Christmas, remember those ones with the little pieces of chocolate in them? One piece of chocolate, three kids.....didn't always work out so well. :rotfl: You can tell Chelsea that I too empathize with the annoying little brother, but now that we are older (and don't live together!), we are great! :)
Nala is getting so big! I hope she takes it well when you break the news to her that she is not getting to go visit Mickey. :cutie:

I loved your update. It brought back many memories of my brother and I. I am sure I told him on a regular basis that he ruined my life. :rotfl: Love your countdown calender.

Our night of celebration ended with the following:

Connor: Well, I guess I just ruin everything for you, Chelsea!!!

Chelsea: Yep, you pretty much do!!! (Stomp, stomp, stomp.)

Me (Yelling in that mom voice at the departing backs of both children): This better not be the way the actual vacation turns out!!!

:rotfl2: this had me cracking up!!! In true kid fashion, something that is supposed to be fun and exciting is turned into an arguement :sad2: Gotta love em I guess!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Loved the way they turn a great family memory making occasion into an opportunity to argue!

Yay for 30 days!! Thats exciting! I remember when the 30 day mark hit! I was soo excited and it actually went by pretty fast. I'm soo jealous that you received your disney travel stuff. I haven't received any of that besides my confirmation when I booked in the beginning! Thats its.. I'm calling when I get done typing!! hehe

I love your countdown.. WAYY cooler than mine! Next time I will have to step it up! hehe I like the sticker idea.. because I don't like removing the mickey heads.. it makes the countdown seem soo plain.. So next time I might steal your idea!! hehe

I also like her "excited face". Maybe she is soo excited- its scary! or something like that! hehe

I love Nala.. she is soo cute. I'm surprised with how small of a doggy she is! Idk why.. I pictured bigger I guess.

Great update! :thumbsup2

Great count-down calendar!

And I love how you celebrate the milestone with opening the pretty Mickey Soap!! :mickeyjum It would make me smile, too!!

Kathy

I was just looking at the earlier part of your PTR this afternoon and couldn't believe how quickly the time has gone by since you started! This time last year I was counting down until our first trip and feverishly trying to finish up our plans, getting snacks for the park bag and other "stuff". Since I don't know when we'll be going back I'm living vicariously through PTRs and TRs. LOL And to help chase the blues away I re-did my notebook for our trip last year and turned it into a general planning notebook. It just made me more "homesick"...and I need a bigger notebook! LOL

Love the countdown calendar and the looks on the kids faces. My brother and I are 3 years apart (I'm the oldest) and, oddly enough, we never really fought that much. I just generally ignored him and did my own thing! LOL

Yeah for 30 days!

I can't believe how big Nala is getting!

The story of the kids is too funny. Reminded me of my first trip to Disney when my parents threatened to cancel our trip due to a broken lamp. My brother and I still argue this day over who broke it. :rotfl:

Your kids are just the cutest ever...even when they are arguing. It so reminds me of me and my little brother growing up. :lmao:

Yay for 30 days!!! WOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Thank you! I remember arguing with my brother only too well!

28 days now although my ticker says differently! :headache:

The last part of your update had me laughing out loud. Although my kids never argue like that.:rolleyes1 Cute puppy, cute countdown calendar and yea for your Mickey mail coming!! That Mickey soap from Basin is so neat. It must go on my list.

Thank you! Yeah, afterwards Charles and I got a good laugh out of it! What else can you do?

Love that your documents came... so I have about a week or so to go!

The calendar moment is too cute.... I was the big sister like Chelsea, so I remember oh so well!

Can't wait until you get yours! You are going to love the new luggage tags! I think I am going to buy a bunch of ribbon to tie on them and make them look even more festive!

I was the big sister, too, so I know how Chelsea must feel -- there were times that I truly believed my brother was around simply to torment me.

Oh your post was so much fun to read!!! Calendar looks GREAT! Lets face it: EVERYTHING is better in WDW... even sibling squabbles! :lmao: That bit had me laughin' and yes, those of us uber-planners, list-makers, ADR-fretters clearly know that those final 30 days are no laughing matter! We need a drill sargent smilie!!! ;)

I am so happy that your Mickey Mail showed up right on cue! And I am SO jealous that school is out in 2 weeks!

Thank you! Yes, these final days demand a military-like precision in planning!

Yours should be arriving soon as well! Two weeks -- I simply cannot wait to be finished with school!

Congratulations on reaching your 30 day countdown. I remember when this trip was just a tiny baby with a Beach Club journal cover.

Ahhh, yes, my binder grew up so quickly -- she is quite heavy to carry these days, and she can't wait to reside in splendor at the AKL.

Poor Nala. She's going to miss her humans!

Perhaps she'll return a much more sedate and quiet dog -- this morning she decided it would be fun to pull stuffing from a pillow. :headache:

I would love to bring home about ten bars of different soaps, but I'd be horrible about using them. I'd have to buy two of each - one to just look at and one to use.

As you can see, I was not much different -- it took me a year to unwrap that one, and I still haven't actually used it (we also have pump soap on the sink).

Jill perfected the stomp, stomp, stomp when she was Chelsea's age. There could possibly still be traces of her footprints in the hallway leading to her old room. :)
We pretty much just laughed at her or ignored her back then, and she finally came back out. She even laughs at herself now.
Girls have their drama and boys know just how to get it started. The perfect combination for chaos!

Yes, little brothers definitely know how to push their older sister's buttons -- it's a tale as old as time  -- too funny about Jill, Trent, and Drew!

This is, hands down, the best shirt I have ever seen. I cannot wait to see pics of Chelsea wearing it!

And arguing is never ever fun, but I would have to agree it's better in Disney World than in the real world!

I laughed at Chelsea's "excited" pics! :rotfl2:

(Sorry to screw up your DIS routines the past couple weeks-I'm going to post tonight, to get back on the right path. ;))

Charles finally hooked the printer back up last night, so now I need to get some transfer paper!

At least the arguments lend themselves to entertaining PTR posts. ;)

That's okay -- my routines have been all off lately anyway -- I was able to catch up last night which was thoroughly enjoyable!

I do enjoy other people's Disney arguments, they make me feel so normal! ;)

:rotfl: Yes, there are others of us out there! ;)

Yay for 30 days!!! :cool1:

Poor Nala...all caught up in the excitement, not realizing that she doesn't get to go visit Mickey!

I love your countdown calendar!

Thank you! I have promised Nala a Disney Dogs food bowl to ease her pain at the upcoming separation.

love the countdown!!!! 30 days.....woohoo!!!!! :cool1:

nala is precious.

i totally understand the mom-yelling-to-settle-a-fight voice. i'm a big sister so sometimes i had to do it, too! one time sticks out in my mind. i was already living in georgia and brooke (my sister who was about 16) and brett (my brother who was about 13) came to visit me for a week in the summer. i met my dad in chattanooga to pick them up and as we were going down the road on the way to my house they started fighting about something and started actually hitting each other. i pulled the car over and said in a very loud, stern voice, "DO NOT THINK THAT I WON'T TURN THIS CAR AROUND AND DRIVE YOU GUYS BACK TO NASHVILLE. THIS IS NOT HOW THIS WEEK IS GONNA GO DOWN!!!!!!" they didn't fight the rest of the week.

Thank you! I can just see you pulling the car over -- that's great! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

The pics are too funny!

I need to get me one of those mickey soaps, it matches my bathroom!

Thank you! They are by the register in Basin when you make it back down there! :thumbsup2

I always LOVE your updates....this one was definitely NO different!!! Can you just do an update per day from now on?!?!?!?!?! Pretty please?!??!?!!?! (And yes, my eyelashes are batting at you!!!)

Thank you! Oh, Jen, if you are batting your eyelashes, how can I say no? :rotfl: I don't know about everyday, but I do think the updates are going to pick up a little in these final days!

WOO HOO 1 Month!!!! I LOVE your countdown calendar!:goodvibes Your kids are TOO funny!!! Although I could TOTALLY see the stomping happening in my house too!! What are we thinking only making one calendar and having them share:sad2: LOVE LOVE LOVE the Mickey soap!! I can't wait to check out the Basin!! GREAT update Jackie!!

Thank you! I know, what were we thinking? Next year two countdown calendars may have to be a necessity just to lessen the wear on the floors. LOL!

Hurrah for 30 days!!!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I want to move in with you guys . You have so much fun (even with the arguments!). Love the countdown calendar. The kids' excited faces are hysterical. What a nice treat the Mickey soap is for the final 30 days.

I can't believe how big Nala is getting!

Thank you! Well, don't be fooled -- some of the arguments are not nearly as entertaining, although usually in retrospect we can laugh at them.

Nala is getting big -- both in size and attitude -- she seems to think that she is Mommy's dog and no other dog should be allowed to cuddle with me on the couch. When Bella tries, she sits on the floor and barks really loud at her. :sad2:

Don't worry, this sounds exactly like me and david at that age!! When I was younger (we're 6 years apart) I used to go in his room and laugh at him just so he would attack me so we would fight and I would have something to do. That poor child lol! We argued/fphysically fought all the time!! especially when I was at that Tween age! I'm surprised mom still has hair!

:lmao: That is too funny about picking fights with David -- you guys get along so well now that I have a hard time picturing it! The tween age has been very different from the early years, that's for sure!

First off, love the countdown calendar. Did you have a template to make those letters? They're just perfect!

Second, love the picture of the kids, even if they did end up fighting. Typical brother and sister stuff, I guess. :lmao:

Thank you! I have these big letter stencils that we use -- they come in very handy for school projects and such.

Yes, very typical of brothers and sisters much to all of us mothers' chagrin!

Nala is growing by leaps and bounds -- I just wish she would start to mellow out a little. She can be very exhausting.

I can just imagine the fighting with three! Do they take each others' sides or is it three separate sets of arguments?

Four weeks from today we will be on the road! Woo hoo!

Tell Chelsea I sympathize with her and it is just part of having an annoying little brother. Tell her to be grateful she only has Connor I had Trent and Drew.

I have a younger brother -- I can only imagine the torment created by having two! Luckily they do tend to grow up and be pleasant around eventually! :rotfl:

:cutie:

Thank you!

Yes, there are skirmishes every year over the advent calendar -- I should have known the countdown calendar would be no different!

She will be clueless until we turn to leave the kennel. By then I will be long gone and won't have to see the accusations in her eyes. ;)

I loved your update. It brought back many memories of my brother and I. I am sure I told him on a regular basis that he ruined my life. :rotfl: Love your countdown calender.

Thank you! I know I told my brother the same thing a lot! In fact family vacations were always a little dicey no matter what. How my mother managed with a teenager and a grade-schooler is beyond me.

:rotfl2: this had me cracking up!!! In true kid fashion, something that is supposed to be fun and exciting is turned into an arguement :sad2: Gotta love em I guess!

Isn't that just so often the case? It's like they can't possibly handle the excitement without turning on each other like a couple of wolves.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Loved the way they turn a great family memory making occasion into an opportunity to argue!

Yep, that seems to happen more and more frequently!

Yay for 30 days!! Thats exciting! I remember when the 30 day mark hit! I was soo excited and it actually went by pretty fast. I'm soo jealous that you received your disney travel stuff. I haven't received any of that besides my confirmation when I booked in the beginning! Thats its.. I'm calling when I get done typing!! hehe

Did you call? I had already told myself that if I hadn't received it by today, I was calling. I hate waiting for anything -- I am very impatient!

I love your countdown.. WAYY cooler than mine! Next time I will have to step it up! hehe I like the sticker idea.. because I don't like removing the mickey heads.. it makes the countdown seem soo plain.. So next time I might steal your idea!! hehe

Thank you! Steal away -- I borrowed the idea from DisMomAmy, so I can't take credit for it!

I also like her "excited face". Maybe she is soo excited- its scary! or something like that! hehe

That must be it! :rotfl:

I love Nala.. she is soo cute. I'm surprised with how small of a doggy she is! Idk why.. I pictured bigger I guess.

Great update! :thumbsup2

We thought she would be bigger when we first got her, but the vet doesn't think she will get to be much bigger than about 35 or 40 pounds.

Great count-down calendar!

And I love how you celebrate the milestone with opening the pretty Mickey Soap!! :mickeyjum It would make me smile, too!!

Kathy

Thank you! I have yet to get up the nerve to use it! Maybe that can be the 14 day mark! :rotfl2:

The kids are cracking me up with their faces...too funny!!! :lmao:

They are funny -- Chelsea especially was making me laugh with her faces!

I was just looking at the earlier part of your PTR this afternoon and couldn't believe how quickly the time has gone by since you started! This time last year I was counting down until our first trip and feverishly trying to finish up our plans, getting snacks for the park bag and other "stuff". It has gone by quickly, hasn't it? Oh, I like the idea of a general planning notebook -- I may have to do that to ease my Disney Depression afterwards!

Love the countdown calendar and the looks on the kids faces. My brother and I are 3 years apart (I'm the oldest) and, oddly enough, we never really fought that much. I just generally ignored him and did my own thing! LOL

Thank you! Chelsea and Connor used to get along so well when they were younger, but the older Chelsea gets, the more arguments they seem to be having. She seems to have very little patience where he is concerned.

Yeah for 30 days!

I can't believe how big Nala is getting!

The story of the kids is too funny. Reminded me of my first trip to Disney when my parents threatened to cancel our trip due to a broken lamp. My brother and I still argue this day over who broke it. :rotfl:

Thank you! We are approaching the homestretch!

:rotfl: The kids know me too well for me to ever be able to use that threat, but I am sure I could think up some others.

Thank you! We are approaching the homestretch!

:rotfl: The kids know me too well for me to ever be able to use that threat, but I am sure I could think up some others.

We do laugh too that we were dumb and gullilble enough to believe that our parents would cancel a vacation less than a week before our trip. We both claim responsiblity for the broken lamp just to save the trip. :rotfl:

ok i'm a little behind because its more like 28 days now so....

:yay::woohoo: 28 days! :woohoo::yay:

You guys are getting so close and i'm sure you're ALL so excited! (even Charles) I love how your kids got into an argument during the countdown pictures...because thats EXACTLY what would have happened with me and my brother when we were that age. Heck, thats what would happen NOW (except there would probably be cursing and my mom yelling at us to stop it involved now too :lmao:) Anyway, 4 more weeks!!

27 days! :woohoo: I can't believe how fast that went, you all must be thrilled!

Oh CP!!!! More updates?~!?!????!?!?!?!? You know what I wanted for Mother's Day, didn't you?!??!?! Love you girlie!!! SO excited your trip is so close!!! Happy Mother's Day!!!

We do laugh too that we were dumb and gullilble enough to believe that our parents would cancel a vacation less than a week before our trip. We both claim responsiblity for the broken lamp just to save the trip. :rotfl:

:lmao: That's too funny that you were both willing to take the blame so the trip wouldn't be canceled!

ok i'm a little behind because its more like 28 days now so....

:yay::woohoo: 28 days! :woohoo::yay:

That's okay -- I don't mind dancing every day from now until June 6!

Heck, thats what would happen NOW (except there would probably be cursing and my mom yelling at us to stop it involved now too :lmao:) Anyway, 4 more weeks!!

My brother and I fought for YEARS, and my mother was always fussing at me about how I was supposed to be the older, more mature one.

27 days! :woohoo: I can't believe how fast that went, you all must be thrilled!

Thank you! Yes, we are so ready to go we are about to explode!

Oh CP!!!! More updates?~!?!????!?!?!?!? You know what I wanted for Mother's Day, didn't you?!??!?! Love you girlie!!! SO excited your trip is so close!!! Happy Mother's Day!!!

 Yes, think of the additional updates as a Mother's Day gift! :thumbsup2 Charles hooked up the printer so I want to scan in some pictures from our 2007 trip to Animal Kingdom. Have a great day today, Jen!
